The space Palmeraie House is a mazing traditional Berber house situated at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains in southern Morocco in Todra Gorges {Tinerhir}. It is a family-run guesthouse and restaurant. Situated between the High Atlas and the Sahara Desert is a magical country of red mountains, fertile plains, rose-strewn valleys, stately kasbahs and magnificent palmeraies. Here, you can... * stay in a traditional Berber house situated in the Todra palmeraie; * eat delicious Berber food, or European if you prefer; * relax and soak up Berber culture; * walk, hike and trek through the palmeraies, the gorges and the mountains of the High Atlas; Ouarzazate airport is a 2 hour drive from Tinehir. Driving from Marrakech airport to Ouarzazate takes 4 hours. The road from Ouarzazate to Tinehir is referred to as the route of a Thousand Kasbahs. The magnificent scenery and Berber architecture are a wonderful introduction to southern Morocco. If you are not driving yourself we can arrange to meet you at either airport. Bus: CTM and other buses from Marrakech, Ouarzazate and Erfoud stop at Tinehir. Bus Times: Supratours direct bus from Marrakech at 8.30 am. and 3 pm. Arrival around 4 pm. and 11 pm. respectively. CTM direct bus from Marrakech at 7,30 am. Arrival around 3 pm. Other Almou Draa direct bus from Marrakech at 10 am. Arrival around 6 pm. Other private buses from Marrakech at 6 am., 11 am., noon and 3,30 pm.
