Look no further, you have landed at the right spot. Solitude is a place where you can find that tranquility and comfort of a country life. The place is situated on a river where you can take a stroll by and also experience working at the farm. As the name suggests, you will be at peace with yourself. The space Solitude is situated in a 25 acre farm on the bank of the Jodu river. As the name suggests, "Solitude" you are away from car honks, television, phone and internet. Although there is a good reception to Jio connections inside the house while the others have to walk outside the house for a network reception. A perfect get away for a family of 5. The place often is booked by writers who love the peace and the isolation. We are also surrounded by forest so there are a lot of birds and animals if you are into photography. The farm is situated to enjoy a walk in the fields, the forest or a chilled out fishing session. You are woken up by the sound of Peacocks and Hornbills in the morning along with barking of the Foxes and bleating of Deer's, so you don’t need an alarm. The tribal village besides the property gives you a real world experience of life and culture here in the forest. There are sightings of crocodiles in the river so we do not recommend entering the river, the pool is actually an irrigation tank where the water from the river is lifted before it goes to the farms, feel free to swim into it or sit down with your feet dipped into the water. The best part of the stay is a BBQ in the garden at night accompanied by some stars and Fireflies. We also have a “Machan” built in the field to experience sleeping under the stars. Guest access My father who owns the property lives on the farm, a bit away from the main house. He is awesome! Sharp as a tack and a wealth of information about the surroundings. He will be your host, well versed in Marathi, Hindi and Konkani. Other things to note We can serve home cooked breakfast only between 8am-10am which comes at an extra cost. Lunch and dinner can be arranged subjected to cooks availability and at an extra cost else can be ordered from restaurants from nearby villages about 10 km from us. BBQ can be arranged for an additional charge of INR 500 or above based on the number of items and quantity.
