Your final stop; Terrapin Stn. We are owner built, designed and operated! Bathroom area is sectioned off by a privacy curtain. Outdoor shower on private back deck. (not available if temp. below 30˚) Both beds are accessed by a ladder. This is a craftsman home with many custom details of woods and hand forged metals. We use eco friendly products in cleaning. We fully support the BLM, BIPOC movements; 420 and LGBTQ+ friendly. During rainy season - bring appropriate footwear. Sorry, no pets. the space is sunny and bright. 288 Sq Ft- Main loft has queen size bed, smaller loft has a single bed meas. just 70 inches, perfect for a smaller person. It faces west, getting the last light of the day. It has it's own wifi and many outlets have USB ports. It is also private and quiet. We are on 13 acres. There is a large bird feeding station that can be seen from the tiny house; and multiple bird baths. Over 50 bird species have been catalogued on the property. Please read through policies and rules. Guests have access to the entire tiny home and surrounding area including a fire pit, chairs and picnic table. There are also a couple of wooded trails on our property that guests are welcome to explore. There are residents in other buildings please respect their privacy. We live on the property- and are happy to answer additional questions you may have. We are on 13 acres, 2 miles in from the highway near the top of the hill. There are second growth conifers in the yard reaching 100 feet. the forest is mixed with Red Alder, Douglas fir, Western Red Cedar and Western Hemlock. We are 8 miles from the Clinton Ferry Dock, and 6 miles from the town of Langley. There are several wonderful beaches and hiking areas on Whidbey Island. Our welcome binder has information for the best restaurants and activities- we also have a hiking guide book for beaches and trails. There are 2 loop wooded trails on the property that you are welcome to explore. The Tilth Market is at the road entrance 2 miles down the hill and is open on Sundays from 11-2 May-Oct. The "neighborhood" 3 miles away is Bayview corner- A converted feed store that now holds a Large farmers market on saturdays, summer street dances on wednesdays, a wine bar, tavern, art gallery space, restaurants, bike shop, and garden center. We want to remind people that this is not a hotel, and not a bachelorette party house. This is our home that we share, and as your hosts we make every effort and care to create Terrapin Station to be a one of a kind welcoming, charming, holiday/retreat for our guests. So in return; please be respectful of the space. For COVID safety; we wipe down all the handles, knobs, switches with isopropyl alcohol before each guest arrives. During the rainy season, heels and suede are not recommended.
