Numerous bike trails are nearby and it's just a few blocks north of the Nebraska Capitol Building. It's easy to get around as a general rule in Lincoln, but walking is your best bet if you're planning on spending time downtown because this location is so centrally-located. There are also BikeLNK stations throughout the area, one is half a block away on 14th & P St! Simply download the BCycle App, pay with a card and go ($3 for 30 mins). Some Walking Directions: + Haymarket: Head due west on O St until you reach 8th Street + Memorial Stadium: Head due west on O St or P St until you reach 12th Street, then head north and cut through campus (and past the Lied Center and Sheldon Art Gallery) until you reach the stadium! + Pinnacle Bank Arena: Head due west on O St until you reach 8th Street, head north until you reach R Street and take a left. You can't miss it. SECURITY: The condo is in a secured building and you'll need a fob to get into the building and operate the elevator and a key to get into the unit. I will provide this! Metered parking is available on all sides of the building (enforced 8am-6pm, $1.25/hr) and there are numerous parking garages nearby (most charge $11.25 per day). NO SMOKING! The entire building is smoke-free. If you need to smoke, the alley behind the building is where people typically go. NOISE: The unit is in the heart of downtown Lincoln and overlooks the University Square Garage. It can get a bit loud when bars close around 2AM. In addition, trash pickup can sometimes occur in the alley below the unit in the wee hours of the morning. For many people the street noise may not be an issue, but I highly recommend using the bedside sound machine to help block it out. BATHROOM: Feel free to use any of the toiletry products in the bathroom vanity and shower – these are meant for Airbnb guests! Towels and washcloths are also provided. FIRE & SAFETY: The fire extinguisher is outside the unit. Take a right after exiting the unit and it's down the hall on the left. There is also a carbon monoxide detector in the living room.
