Leamcon farmhouse is a rural retreat four miles from Schull surrounded by farmland with spectacular Atlantic and castle views. Our back field leads to a quiet pier where you can swim, dive, and fish. Horseriding, beaches, beautiful walks, and wild food foraging nearby. Wifi is very fast by rural ireland standards. The space Leamcon is a renovated 19th Century farmhouse with four bedrooms, a spacious kitchen-dining-living area with stanley stove, a bright sitting/TV room, four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs West facing living room has stunning views out to the Atlantic and a 15th Century O'Mahony Castle. Two downstairs bedrooms are also west facing and one is ensuite. The other two bedrooms are great for kids. The kitchen is very well equipped, down to a lobster pot and lobster crackers. The wifi is good enough for video calls and available all over the house with a mesh system. Guest access Guests have full access to all the amenities of the house, including stereo with bluetooth speaker. We couldn't bring ourselves to put a TV in either of the living rooms but we have a projector that you can connect a laptop to for projecting and a large soft screen (basically a giant sheet) that you can move around the house. Other things to note Our house is dual central heating- oil and coal. There will be a stock of both but we charge on a usage basis (at cost). Oil is metered and coal is based on the average price of a bucket. Electricity is also charged by usage.
