The home offers magnificent views of the sleeping volcano from the backyard, and stunning sunset views from the front yard. Our homestay borrows its name from the dormant volcano, locally known as “The Quill”. The main entrance to the quill is at the top of Rosemary lane, a mere two minutes’ walk away from the Quill Homestay. Climbing the Quill is an experience you won’t want to miss. It’s safe, scenic, and serene! First, you climb up to the rim of a sleeping volcano. Along the way you may see wildlife such as soldier crabs, many different species of butterflies and the Red Belly Racer snake. From the rim it is a steep hike down into the crater of the volcano, where you will walk through a forest and view the biggest trees of the Dutch kingdom! Diving, snorkeling, archeological digs and tours, historical walking tours, a visit to the museum and botanical gardens should also be on your "must-do" list. Limited public transportation.
