Small, bright 1 bedroom apartment located on the first floor , at the back of the house .It has its own private entrance, on the side of the house. The space This thoughtfully organized and quaint apartment is perfect for anyone who would like to have a place to retreat to from the busy downtown area of Berkeley. I, the Grandma in the listing name, rent it out when I am on the East Coast. The house is conveniently located 4 blocks from the North Berkeley BART station and 2 blocks from Trader Joe's. There is a park nearby to sit outside and relax . This is an old shingled house that was divided up into apartments, you may hear some muffled sounds and footsteps from neighboring apartments,and dogs barking from the nearby dog park. You'll have everything you need for your retreat. The kitchen is fully equipped, including your choice of coffee or tea in the morning. The bathroom supplies are constantly replenished, and you have access to books , a desk overlooking the back yard, an old school receiver, and a wall mounted TV. Other things to note Please no smoking on the property. There is no parking available on property, but there is street parking available. Free parking is allowed for two hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm (if you do not have an area sticker). Parking starts being monitored at 8:00am and is monitored until 7:00pm, so you can keep it parked from 5:00pm until 10:00am without a problem. Please note though, that there are meter maids mark car tires to track how long they've been parked, so be sure to not be parked for more than two hours during the posted times (8:00am-5:00pm).
