The space Casa Mabell is your best option on Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, San Cristobal Island, the capital of the Galapagos Archipelago. We are a family-owned guesthouse licensed by the Ministry of Tourism. We are located only two blocks away from the main dock/pier and 5 minutes away from the airport (by taxi). This beautiful and upscale one bedroom apartment located on a second floor has been recently renovated. In this apartment you will find: Kitchen: * Imported Spanish granite countertops * Cooking utensils, plates, dishes, silverware * A brand new fridge * Gas stove with two burners * Hand-crafted cedar cabinets and shelves * Hand-crafted cedar dinning table and chairs * Ceiling fan Bedroom: * Full size bed with linens and night stand * Cozy office space/ desk * Oversized built-in and hand-crafted cedar closet * Silent AC and ceiling fan Living Room * Extra twin size bed which could be used for a third guest. Therefore, there's no sofa/couch. Bathroom * Full size bathroom with towels, essential toiletries, hot water and shelves Back Yard * There's a small back yard where you could hang and dry your clothes. IMPORTANT: Most local Airbnb hosts in Galapagos DO NOT have a license to host tourists and they are being asked not to keep doing this illegally. We are licensed and approved by the Ministry of Tourism as we meet all the standards (see our photos). Finally, We live in the same premises (the house downstairs), therefore, you don't need to worry about the keys. Someone is home 24/7, and we will be there to welcome you, give you the keys and guide you to your apartment/room. Guest access Directions to Casa Mabell: If you arrive by plane: right after you exit the airport you will see white pick up trucks (those are taxis) just take any taxi any and tell the driver to take you to "Casa Mabell" by Banco del Pacifico, the driver will know where to take you and the cab ride will be no more than 2.5 dollars (that is the established and official price from the airport to the town). If you are arriving by boat: we are actually located only two blocks and a half away from the pier, it will take you 2-3 minutes to get here walking. Right in front of the pier one left hand side you will see the police station, there go left along the waterfront, at the next corner you will see 2 big houses (both are hotels and the one on the left is entirely white). Just walk up that street in between those two houses, pass the first street (you will see Banco del Pacifico at the corner on your right hand side) , we are on the next block on the right hand side, there's a sign that reads "Casa Mabell" you can't miss it. Other things to note We provide fresh clean towels for the bathroom (shower). Please bring and use your own towels for the beach.
