Description
Escape to Tai Marino, a self-contained beachfront bungalow with everything you need for a relaxing island stay, kitchen, bathroom, TV, free fast Wi-Fi, and air-con. Just a short walk from local eateries and hiking trails, and only 5 minutes’ drive from the airport and town. We’ll greet you with free return airport transfers (plus a mini tour), and are happy to help with rental vehicles, tours, or even arrange a private lagoon cruise or a massage right in your bungalow. The space Set right on the beach, Tai Marino offers one of Aitutaki’s rare deep swimming holes, perfect for a refreshing dip at any tide. With only two bungalows on the entire property, you’ll enjoy a peaceful and private atmosphere. Relax in the hammock, enjoy a cold drink on the sand, or take in the colourful fish and sea birds that call our lagoon home. Sunrises are best enjoyed with fresh fruit on your veranda, while evenings bring spectacular sunsets over the water. A shared BBQ is also available on request, making it easy to enjoy a casual beachside meal. Guest access Tai Marino is a 5 minute drive from the airport and a 7 minute drive from the town center. We recommend renting at least a motorbike to make the most of your trip. It's only a short walk to the local eateries and bar. Right across the road are hiking routes to the middle of the island. Other things to note Aitutaki will at times go through water and power shortages. While Tai Marino has a dedicated rain water tank for times like these, guests are asked to conserve water where they can. Also, since Aitutaki is a tropical area in which all things thrive, guests do well to remember to keep insect screens closed and surfaces clear of food to avoid attracting unwanted guests. Mosquito coils and insect spray are provided.
