Lodge 16 Wild Heritage Kariba Zimbabwe

Located within a national parks area on the Charara peninsula is our little slice of heaven. You can view hippos playing in the lake from our sparkling infinity edge swimming pool and watch the epic Kariba sunsets from the top deck. The lodge is fully air conditioned and provides the comforts of home in a serene setting. Lazarus, our cook can prepare your meals and clean up after you to ensure absolute relaxation. There is no better way to experience Kariba than at Lodge 16 Wid Heritage The space The lodge is on the lake front and on the sunset side. Great for taking in those epic Kariba sunsets. Animals such as zebra, waterbuck, elephants, hippo, crocodiles and ocassionally buffalo can be seen. If you are lucky you may get to hear a lion or two roaring in the distance. We have books and games you can enjoy such as cards and a dart board for added entertainment. Guest access In addition to the private pool there is a communal pool with braai area which guests are welcome to. Lazarus is happy to meet you on arrival and show you around. You will have private access to the entire house. Other things to note Please bring all the food and drinks and bottled water you need as Kariba town is about 40kms away. We do have a TV and home theater system but you would need to bring your own decoder should you wish to watch DSTV. You are welcome to bring DVDs as well A washing machine is available and laundry may be given to Lazarus at an added cost. We have a generator on site that is capable of fully servicing the entire house. In the event of a power cut the generator will be switched on for a limited time. You will thereafter be able to use rechargeable LED lamps that you can also use to charge phones. We do have a gas stove and a gas braai . We have fishing rods at the lodge that can be used at a fee of 2 US Dollars per day. You would need to bring your own bait and tackle. I am available to assist with boat hire should you wish to hire one out.
