Description
Known to the postman as Figart, the Wee Green House was originally a horse stable built in the 1880s by Lord Leitrim. It’s now a peaceful escape-pod holiday cottage for good humans. The house is in the beautiful village of Carrigart, Co. Donegal, Ireland, on the Wild Atlantic Way, surrounded by stone walls, sea views, and good vibes. Despite being close to so many beautiful treasures, everything is a bit quieter here. The house is beautiful, full of charm, cozy, and - of course - painted green. The space The house can create a lot of memories for being so wee. It’s very cute for being so green. And it’s unusually cozy for originally being built for horses. The wee blue recliner, charming fireplace, fast internet, bountiful board games, assortment of boogie boards & toys, and incredibly good views will make even the most studious of remote workers lose their focus from time to time. The house has three bedrooms, with the smallest of them being used either as a single room or an office (with a cool German beergarden table stored underneath the bed for use outside or as an office desk) and the two others having European King (about an American Queen) beds. The completely updated bathroom has a standing shower and a fancy LED heated mirror. The kitchen has a gas cooker, an electric washer, and all the cookware a wee space can hold. Also available are all the fixings for kids, including scooters, toys, and wee reflector jackets for safety. Most windows face Mulroy Bay, which likes to show off 2-hour sunsets in the summer and rainbow mornings in the fall and spring. If you’re lucky you could even see snow capped hills in the winter (and if you’re really, really lucky, you can on rare occasion see the Northern Lights). Guest access Parking is available on the street in front of the house (please don’t ever park in the driveway). The village and surrounding area is best explored on foot, wheelchair, or scooter (though you do see a lot of folks on horses). Other things to note Our wee house is your wee house. It's well-maintained and beautifully appointed, but like any old stone house, it has some quirks. Of course, that's part of the fun.
