Description

Welcome! This charming 1920's 2 bedroom 1 bath Craftsman style home is located on one acre and less than 2 miles from the heart of Atascadero. It is centrally located to all the fabulous places to visit in San Luis Obispo County. Guest access You will have full access to the whole house and property. When you stay here you will be centrally located to some of the best places in San Luis Obispo County. There is antique shopping in Santa Margarita; hiking, horseback riding and bicycling at Santa Margarita Lake; horseback riding and hiking in the Los Padres National Forest; in Paso Robles there is the wineries and wine tasting, the Paso Robles Event Center and Mid State Fair and a water park; whale watching and sport fishing in Morro Bay, shopping in San Luis Obispo, antique shopping in Cambria, the Hearst Castle, the Carizzo Plain National Monument, Lopez Lake, Pismo Beach and Nacimiento Lake. Last but not least there is Atascadero itself with a great park, lake and zoo. Atascadero has local activities that happen every month of the year. The Chamber of Commerce is a great place to check out activities in Atascadero. Other things to note The weather is very agreeable. In the fall the days will be warm with crisp nights, the winter can get cold into the 20's but warms up to the 50-60's during the days. The rainy season is from December to March, but some warm days in February. Summer gets hot, there is no air conditioning, but the reward is the great evenings that go along with it. Not usually humid. Taxes: Not something I really like talking about, but you have the right to know. I am assessed Transient Occupancy Taxes of 10%, Atascadero Tourism Marketing Tax of 2% and a SLO county Tourism of 1.5% for a total of 13.5% tax assessment. This amount is included in the price you pay. My base rate for one weekday night is $115.00/night plus $15.53 tax equals $130.53 rounded up to 131.00 and weekend is $135/ per night plus $18.23 tax equals $153.23 or rounded down to $153.00, according to Airbnb.
