Ziwayu, Beach House, Misty Cliffs

A beautifully designed, newly-built family home carved into a mountain slope less than a hundred metres from the roaring Atlantic Ocean. Ziwayu house is situated in the small village of Misty Cliffs, 50 minutes from the centre of Cape Town. The space The house contains a large open plan, double volume living space with carefully defined areas for dining, lounging and cooking. A huge, twelve-seater, yellowwood table, a wood-burning Franco Belge fireplace and a kitchen counter looking out over the ocean are but a few of its unique features. The fully equipped kitchen contains a Smeg oven, washing machine, dishwasher, and a baboon-proof pantry. A large, hardwood deck wraps around the front of the house complete with hammocks and built-in benches. A beautiful, secluded courtyard at the back connects one again with the magnificent mountain behind. Two bedrooms are available for rental presently. The Main bedroom with its high, queen-sized bed enjoys views from windows facing east up the Langkloof valley, south directly onto the mountain, and west over the Atlantic Ocean. The Twin bedroom could either contain a queen-sized bed, or two single beds depending on preference. There are two toilets, an inside and private outside shower, and a large bath with uninterrupted mountain and sea views. The upstairs loft will not be available for use.
