Spacious upstairs private retreat-located 20 min from downtown Knoxville/UT Stadium,7 min to I-40 and upscale shopping and entertainment, with Great Smoky Mountains nearby.Although we stay on the property we offer private areas which include 3 bedrooms, living room,dining, and 2.5 baths exclusively for guests.There is an independent entry to this part of the home. Our place is good for solo adventurers, couples, business travelers, and families. Our house is located in very safe neighborhood in upscale little town called Farragut. There is for you to use the living room area on the main floor, complete with a wood-burning fire place, which flows into the dining room and kitchen. Dining area, which serves exclusively our guests, has direct access to our deck and 1-acre backyard. (THIS AREA IS CURRENTLY UNDER REMODEL/landscape changing- SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE). Pool is usually available for our guests May - September (rules must be followed) and we refrain ourselves from using it while the guests are. THE POOL AND DECK ARE UNDERGOING A REMODEL BUT ARE AVALABLE . A full bath with tub and shower is located upstairs, as well as second full bath with shower, jetted tub and heated floor downstairs. All 3 bedrooms are on the second level of our home. We offer 1 Queen size bed (60 inch x 80 inch), 3 Twin size beds (38 inch x 75 inch) and one futon/double bed (48 inch x 75 inch, which can fit 2 smaller individuals). Blow up mattresses are available for additional guests and can be placed in common area or in the bedroom. Sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloth, soap, shampoo, and conditioner come with the furnished rooms. Not every drawer and closet are available. We will appreciate your discretion and respect towards our belongings around the house. Most of our guests find the space very private and restful- please read their reviews. Usually our back patio, backyard, and deck are pleasant areas to read, chat, have coffee, or soak up some sun. But for the couple of months this area will be undergoing remodeling. We are replacing our pool insert so it will not be available till further notice. Please pardon our dust and we will try to provide privacy and quiet environment as much as possible. The living room is a cozy spot to relax as well, and you can enjoy meals and snacks at our dining table. The kitchen is available for light cooking only – heating up pre-made items, microwaving, using the toaster oven and kettle. Let us know your plans so we can schedule accordingly to avoid congestion in the kitchen (we prepare our own meals daily but not occupy the space unnecessarily). After using the kitchen, please leave it tidy. You may store food in the fridge and in the freezer on designated shelves (sorry not the whole fridge is available, but we will do our best to accommodate your items). You are welcome to use the tea kettle and peculator to prepare coffee. Help yourself to any fruit or baked goods placed on dining room table. WiFi with blasting 200 Mbps (upload and download) is available throughout the house. Password will be supplied upon check-in (in the house manual). The TV in one of the bedrooms has basic cable channels. One other room has TV's available, which could be connected to guest's personal laptop via supplied HDMI cable for more pleasant viewing experience. Free, off-street parking is available. You may use the washer and dryer upon request but please notify us first so we can make sure they are empty! Iron with ironing board is also available upon request. If you need something during your stay, my wife and I will be happy to assist you. You can contact me by text message if I am not at home. We usually cook and eat dinner at home or are involved in extracurricular activities with our 17 year old son. Our house is not in typical subdivision. All properties on our street have 1 acre lots, which makes it very unique. Combination of fine dining, entertainment and great shopping options in Turkey Creek are in a location just 10 minutes away! There are greenways and bike trails around the neighborhood. Park with playground for kids is up the street. For golf lovers they are three beautiful golf courses nearby. You can also spend your leisure time on the shore of the lake in many parks. Multiple marinas, play grounds and dog parks are also just short drive away from our home. There is no public transportation close by. Please note- our backyard is being worked on at this time. Please be aware that this is our home and WE RESIDE IN ADJACENT PART OF THE HOUSE, with our own entrance. We share the kitchen with the guests and there are shelves in the fridge for you to use (not the whole fridge), as well as space in the cabinet. Also we provide some closet space and empty drawers for your belongings. Although not every closet and drawer is available we appreciate your discretion and respect of our belongings. Our guests have independent, exclusive access to front door, which we do not use. You have over 2000 square feet of available space (with shared kitchen) for you to enjoy. We respect and care about our guests privacy and you may see us only occasionally or not at all. Drinking alcohol in reasonable quantities only for guests of age; no drugs, parties and overnight outside guests permitted. Visitors are acceptable during the day after hosts' approval only. Early check-in is available (but not always guaranteed) upon request. Our check in procedure includes making copies of photo IDs of our guests. We strive to make this stay for you as pleasant as possible!
