At the end of a long driveway through large evergreen trees sits this 600 sq ft cottage studio at the edge of the woods, ready to provide you with a relaxing country retreat. Enjoy this lovely remodeled guest house with a woodland landscape outside your doors. The space The cottage is on 5 acres on the edge of the woods, with large trees and lovely gardens. In the spring, many wild trillium bloom along the trails through the woods and a variety of fruit trees are in bloom. In summer the shady porch welcomes you to relax, read or grill and have dinner. In the private yard, enjoy sitting around the fire pit while enjoying the quiet evening. Inside the cottage, a small efficient kitchen is equipped to make your own meals if you choose, or there are several restaurants 2-5 miles away. The antique wood floors and painted paneled walls and casework create a cozy space, nostalgic of a cottage from days past. The cottage has a laundry room with a washer and dryer, ironing board, shelving and extra chairs and a cooler if you need them while you stay. The cottage is not appropriate for toddlers or children under 10, but an infant not yet crawling would be just fine, let us know if you need a small crib. If you are visiting a child in the area and you would like to invite him/her to visit you in the cottage, that would be fine Guest access The cottage, covered patio, yard, and garden. Other things to note Enjoy the 40" TV with +/- 20 channels and Netflix for streaming movies. There is WiFi for your wireless internet use (+/- 55 download, 2.5 upload). The bathroom is equipped with towels, soap, shampoo, and a blow dryer. We have two small dogs who may bark when you arrive, but they are friendly and are fenced in our yard away from the cottage. We may be able to work with you on check in and check out times depending on if we are booked before or after your visit. The cottage is not an appropriate choice if you are traveling with a toddler or child, however, if you are traveling with an infant not yet crawling that is fine, we do have a small crib.
