Unique Bothy, stunning view of the Caribbean

We offer a totally unique experience, our two bothies (built from bamboo grown on the property) are perched high on a hillside in a private jungle setting with looking out over the oean. They each contain a Queen bed, and can accommodate two people. From March 2019 each will have a private shower and bathroom..... If you are a true nature lover, and want to get the best chance to see wildlife, stay 2-3 days. If you book 3 days, we include a tour of the extensive private grounds. The space The bothies are beautifully simple; the concept was to build something that would provide shelter with the minimum barrier between the occupants and the surrounding nature. Wake up to monkeys and toucans, not an alarm clock! ( our internet CAN be awful, please give time for us to respond!) Guest access Our 20 acres/almost seven hectares of jungle and private gardens are there for you to explore and enjoy. The property is bordered by two streams. We have a natural bath-sized rock pool, a wood-fired bread and pizza oven, our own maze in the shape of Panama, a bamboo forest and a lookout point over the Caribbean. During your stay We will be available during your stay, we live on the property. Other things to note We are off-grid, which means electricity is supplied by the sun, so no hairdryers please. This means the wifi cannot be on 24/7, and we can only turn it on infrequently. We are situated a couple of kilometres from the nearest small village. Most of what you are likely to hear is birdsong and the sounds of monkeys. Please don't come here expecting bright lights! A torch/flashlight is essential, it is possible to get great photos of the night monkeys in the trees!
