This adorable, professionally-decorated 2BR/1Ba house is set in the middle of the city, yet located on a quiet private road. Walk to the restaurants, bars, and shops of downtown Belmont, the historic downtown pedestrian mall, and the IX Park. The huge yard and nearby park are great for kids and pups. Hiking and mountain biking trails are just a few minutes away. Centrally located to all the area vineyards. Or just stay home, sip coffee or wine on the screened porch, and enjoy the views. You will love this cozy, beautifully decorated cottage situated in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood in downtown Charlottesville. The house has amazing light and a great feel, and it is stocked with everything you’ll need for a perfect stay. It’s situated in a little tucked-away neighborhood, yet in the middle of the city. You’ll enjoy your proximity to everything: you’re just a few-minutes' walk from the IX Park with its amazing restaurants, coffee shops, yoga studios, and shops (Brazo’s Tacos, Carpe Cafe, Sweethaus Cafe, Three Notch’d Brewery). The cottage is also an easy walk (10-15 min) to downtown Belmont with its own list of superior dining: Tavola, Mas, The Local, Lampo, Junction. And the downtown mall is just a 15-20 minute walk away. Monticello is a quick 5-minute drive, and you’ll be centrally located to all the vineyards and wedding venues in the surrounding areas. UVA hospital and Grounds are 5 minutes away. The house has been painstakingly designed by a professional designer to provide you with everything you’ll need to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing- luxurious linens, comfy, high-quality mattresses, a lovely mixture of contemporary and antique furniture, high-quality cookware, and provided essential pantry items. We are also extremely proud of the care with which we treat this house- you will always find it sparkling clean, and we use only all-natural cleaning products, so you can be assured that you are in a healthy and responsible space. The house has two bedrooms (one with a queen bed, one with a pair of twin beds), a full bath, a living room, eat-in kitchen, and marvelous screened porch which overlooks a neighbor's urban farm and mountain views in winter. It’s a perfect place for people with pooches and kids- we have a great, large yard set back from the road, and a beautiful park (Belmont Park) just two blocks away with walking/bike paths, play ground equipment, lots of green space, and a splash ground. If you click on my profile picture and scroll down, you’ll find two guidebooks- one general guidebook to Cville, and then one guidebook for visiting Cville with kids. Guests have full access to the whole house an its amenities. We live nearby and are always available to answer questions or provide recommendations, but we are also happy to give you your space and let you explore and discover on your own. The house is situated in a lovely, engaged, and friendly neighborhood. We all value our special little set-back enclave with its old trees, open space, and mountain/city views- right in the heart of Belmont. It’s truly a special little spot with a great feel. You’ll love being able to walk or take a quick drive to get to all of the restaurants in the IX Park, downtown Belmont, and downtown Charlottesville. You can certainly get by at Stonehenge Cottage without a car- but there is off-street parking for up to three cars at the house. Ubers are easy to get. There is a city bus stop just a few blocks away, and the local free trolley picks up at the transportation center about a 15 min walk away (the free trolley runs from downtown to UVA and stops in between along West Main St. every fifteen minutes. It's a pretty fun way to travel, and I recommend at least one ride if you have small kids)
