Lake Cabin #3: Lupine Village at Grand Lake
Lake Cabin #3: Lupine Village at Grand Lake
Description
Near the center of Grand Lake, steps from the historic wooden boardwalks of Grand Ave & just a couple blocks from the largest natural lake in Colorado, our 6 small cabins have welcomed adventurous travelers since the 1930's. Today, Lupine Village still provides exceptional hospitality at the western gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, with comfortable cabins that are sparkling clean & thoughtfully updated with modern amenities & extras that make each cabin feel like a home away from home. The space The Lake Cabin is our coziest cabin, perfect for a couple but able to sleep up to 4 guests. The bedroom has a queen bed where you'll sleep soundly on the #BestMattressEver from Brooklyn Bedding with crisp percale sheets, fluffy pillows, & down comforter. There's also a queen sized sofa sleeper in the living area, fully equipped kitchen with coffee, creamer, and sweetener, dining table, bathroom with shower, WiFi, cable TV w/HBO, and all the amenities you'll need for a Rocky Mountain vacation or weekend getaway! Guest access The six cabins at Lupine Village surround a fenced courtyard with ample seating, picnic tables, multiple grills and fire pits...perfect for group gatherings. Guests are welcome to visit the Canteen where you can checkout movies, games, snowshoes, YakTrax, yoga mats, beach towels & toys, fishing gear & more! Purchase locally made gifts, souvenirs, sundries, & cold drinks. Other things to note In response to COVID-19, we have made several changes to ensure you have the cleanest, safest environment possible for a rocky mountain getaway. We will continue provide spotless cabins for up to 4 people with contactless check-in, disinfectant wipes, soap & hand sanitizer, but we have also added... - 2 HEPA air purifiers in every cabin- bedroom and living room - Socially-distanced outdoor seating, picnic tables, propane grills & fire pits (as snow allows during winter) We also ask that guests (as we are) follow all county, state, & CDC recommendations while on the property and around town. Please stay home if you have a cough, shortness of breath, or fever. We're also asking that dogs be kept on a leash in the courtyard this summer to limit unintended interactions with other guests. While the Lake Cabin #3 is pet-free, we do have 3 other cabins that are dog-friendly. Dogs are allowed in the shared courtyard. Please contact us if you would like to hold an event/party during your stay. There are 4 Electric Vehicle chargers in the town of Grand Lake, 2 of which are just a block from Lupine Village. Please do not plug EVs into your cabin without prior permission. Being so close to RMNP means there is a lot of wildlife in the area. You may see elk, moose, foxes, or even the occasional black bear. Observe at a safe distance, dispose of your garbage responsibly, don't store food in your car, and never feed the animals. Lupine Village at Grand Lake is located in Grand Lake, Colorado. The town can be accessed year round via I-70, and during the summer via Trail Ridge Road from Estes Park (It is open to vehicle traffic roughly from Memorial Day weekend in May through Columbus Day in October - visit National Park Service for updated road conditions). Please note Trail Ridge Road is closed in the winter, however you can still drive 10 miles into RMNP with access to trails and the visitor center. In order to reach Grand Lake from Estes Park you will have to go through Denver and use I-70. To access the mountains from Denver in winter everyone uses I-70 so it is highly trafficked and well maintained. To reach Grand Lake you do have to ascend & descend Berthoud Pass. Because this is the same road that everyone uses to reach Grand Lake, as well as Winter Park ski resort, the road is well maintained. We do recommend at least all-wheel drive with all season tires, if not 4-wheel drive.
