Charming getaway with private courtyard in Nanyuki

Welcome to Gardenia - Ole Samara! The Gardenia Suite is custom built with modern amenities and contemporary designs throughout. It has a large outdoor courtyard with a high wall for extra privacy. The courtyard includes a fully-equipped kitchen, fireplace, cushioned benches under a pergola, and a table and chairs for outdoor dining.Beddings are 100% cotton sheets with high thread count and a warm down duvet. There is a desk, chair and plenty of closet space. The bathroom is modern and spacious. The space Olesamara is a tranquil nature’s paradise situated on 16 acres, with the lower portion bordered by the year round Burguret river. It is located just off the Nanyuki-Nyeri Highway next to the Mt. Kenya National forest. Olesamara serves as an excellent base to explore the Laikipia region, climb Mt. Kenya, do walks or rides into the Mt. Kenya forest, visit various game reserves - such as Ol Pejeta, Solio Ranch, Lewa, and Samburu National Park or just as a lovely serene place relax and wind down. We’ve created a lovely walking path along the river which is lined with indigenous trees and is habitat of Colobus monkeys which are a delight to watch. The river also has trout, so fishing is possible. The whole property has abundant bird life and is bird watchers dream. This is a perfect place for dreamers to reflect, reset and create. Guest access You have access to entire private suite with it’s private courtyard. You also have access to the serene 16 acres the property sits on that has abundant nature trails, a river – with trout if you would like fishing as well as two types of monkeys, including the black and white colobus. Other things to note In addition to a queen size bed Gardenia Suite has a bay window with cushioned seat that can be converted into a sleeping area for two small kids or one adult. On the other side of the property we raise a few sheep, cows, chickens, guinea fowl, ducks and also have tortoises and dogs. Since it’s just off the highway, some sounds from the highway may be heard. Otherwise the nights are peaceful and quiet with occasional wildlife noises of tree hyraxes, frogs, colobus monkeys, crickets, the rare hyenas etc. The booking includes a full breakfast served at the poolhouse/ pool house.
