Gerald’s Eco House - Asali Room

Hello I am Gerald, I am a local from Arusha. During these last years, I have built my Eco Home hand-made by myself. I hope travelers from everywhere can come and enjoy the real Tanzanian life with my family and me. My guests love my place because of the original rooms, the comfy beds, the cook and the different shared places. My place is good for couples, families, solo adventurers, friends, volunteers, business travelers … You can find me as Geco House, which also means Gerald's Eco House. The space We are a peace and friendly Tanzanian family, living close to Arusha city (about 20 minutes from Arusha center and 45 minutes from Kilimanjaro airport). We offer a cozy and affordable accommodation suited for all travelers. Our Eco Home has 10 bedrooms to let (2 single, 6 double and 2 quadrant with private bathroom and hot shower for each room). Our rooms are clean and artistic. Our house is located in a tranquil and quite green area with all nearby amenities that can be reached easily within a short walk or by public transport (daladala), including restaurant's, bars, supermarkets, banks … Our main room area is well comfortable with a dining room, a living room and other places to talk in front of a drink, share with other travelers, or work by yourself … Wifi is available in this main room are. The room has 1 double bed. A crip is also available for a kid under 2. Guest access Each guest has a private room and bedroom (with hot and cold shower), with a lock on the door. The kitchen, the dining room, the living room and the main room area are shared with me, my family and the other guests. We provide access to free WiFi in the main room area. During your stay As I live with my family in the same place, I am always available to assist my guests, in any way they need. I can include them in the daily activities of my Eco Home and my village to live a really local life. I can also help them to arrange some of great adventures and activities for extra cost (for yourselves of by including you to a safari group) : tarangire national park, lake manyara national park, Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti national park, Lake Natron hiking, trek to Kilimanjaro and Meru mountain, bush camping safaris, trekking across Massai steppe, village tour, cycling tour, bird watching, coffee cultural tour, African/Tanzanian cooking lessons, Swahili lesson, painting lesson, drum making lesson … I also offer airport transfers and pick ups from Kilimanjaro International Airport for 60 USD one way, and from Arusha airport for 35 USD one way. If you arrive at Arusha with shuttle or bus, I can pick you up with a taxi for 25000 shillings or with a Tuk-Tuk for 20000 shillings. You can also take a Daladala (a public bus) for 600 shillings per person. Other things to note If some dates are blocked on my Air Bnb calendar, you can have a look on the other rooms that I rent, or you can message me by Air Bnb because there might be a spare room available on the same dates. The price of the room includes the breakfast. You can also order a lunch or a dinner for 10 USD per person per day, and we serve some drinks like fresh fruits juice, local coffee … We can cook veg/non veg items, and also vegan and gluten free items
