Support locals not big tourist places: private Ger
This Ger is helping locals and is a supporting project. I was volunteering in the MONGOL UJIN CAMP (please Google that for direct location of your ger), about a year ago and the big wooden house of the family burnt down. I helped them buying a new ger so they can host more people and provide them with food & trips. Hatgal is magical, it is very quiet, wide & wild. The locals, which I want to support, are incredibly friendly and I hope you will also experience their outstanding hospitality. The space The ger is pretty basic, but that is the lifestyle in Mongolia. But, you will have everything you need: a cozy and private bed/ger with chairs and table and a fire oven. Lots of fire wood will be provided and my friends in the camp will keep you warm during winter time also during the night. Guest access You will have access to your private ger, the main ger and all other necessary facilities of course. Other things to note I will not be around, but I really hope you will enjoy the supporting ger I helped the family with when their house burnt down. When you arrive in Mongolia wou will recognize that time is much slower than in many other countries. People will not be in a rush and not be on time sometimes - but that is the way they live. It is based on their normadic culture. Please also not that you are supporting my "helping project" by booking this ger, but you will be a normal guest on the Mongol Ujin Normadic Culture Camp. Food and trips are not included in this booking and need to be paid to my friends in Hatgal. The WiFi is not very good in general. It is only working sometimes. I therefore recommend buying a local SIM card which is very cheap compared to how much data you get and it makes life much easier ;) Breakfast is not included but please enjoy Davaa’s wonderful food. It is only 3USD for a good and large breakfast!
