Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary is Sierra Leone’s primary conservation organization, our mission is to use education and community conservation to eliminate the wildlife trade and safeguard the remaining natural habitats in the country. Explore nearby waterfalls, visit our sanctuary and relax outside and admire the butterflies, birds and other wildlife. All funds received from our overnight eco-lodging, sanctuary tours and hikes go directly to the animals and our conservation programs. The space Tacugama Eco Lodges are located at the entry gates to the Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Surround yourself in the jungles of Sierra Leone’s Western Peninsula National Park. All lodges have west facing decks and porches, ground floor and upper floors. Escape the wilds of the city for the wilds of nature and stay at Tacugama. Christo is our largest eco lodge. Our 2 bedroom bungalow is suitable for a family of 4. A fantastic retreat down our jungle path. Your private kitchenette is situated downstairs with your private dining area. Hammocks and outdoor loungers are available to enjoy our natural environment. Guest access Guests are have access to our yoga platform and community BBQ area. The sanctuary is just down the foot path and we offer tours and guided hikes multiple times a day. Other things to note Located at Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, we offer and encourage you to book one of our daily sanctuary tours and or a hike with us! Breakfast is included with your stay, dinner is available for an additional cost (chicken, fish and vegetarian options available). All funds go directly to the chimpanzees and our conservation work.
