Private, Cosy 1-Bdrm Suite/Sleeps 4/Hot Tub

Cozy up in this spacious & well-lit, 1-bedroom basement apartment with a separate entrance & hot tub! Nestled in The Danny, steps to the subway, a short distance from the beach and walking distance to trendy shops and cafes. Furnished with a Queen bed & sofa bed, full bathroom & kitchen and all basic amenities. Great for couples, solo adventurers, families and pets. Not recommended for tall people over 6'-4". The space The private entrance is located on the side of the house. Enter into a warm and welcoming basement apartment. The door will open a little awkwardly to the right and you'll need to climb a few stairs upwards in order to close it. Take 1 bag in at a time. As you descend the stairs, please watch your head (if you're tall) l!! You will find a place to take off your shoes just at the bottom of the stairs, (please, no shoes on the new carpet). To your left, you will find the entrance to your bedroom where you will enjoy a restful night's sleep on your cozy queen bed made up with fresh hotel linens. There is a dresser and a closet with hangers for your belongings. We supply you with an extra change of sheets for longer stays and extra blankets for those cold Toronto nights. Brrr! The living room has a coffee table and a comfy couch that pulls out into a double bed. We offer various board games, books & cards. There is a large HDMI flat-screen TV, with an additional external speaker. There are many free options of apps to choose from on the Amazon Firestick. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove/oven and has all your basic appliances, including a microwave, blenders, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Plus, we encourage you to enjoy a selection of black, green & herbal teas and/or instant coffee on us in the morning. The washroom is fully equipped with a shower, deep clawfoot bathtub, vanity, sink and toilet. If you are tall, we recommend having a bath and feeling like a child again! We supply shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We now supply laundry detergent! Please feel free to use what is available or purchase your own. There is also bleach and dryer sheets. There is also an iron and an ironing board as well as use of our outdoor clothesline, if needed during the warmer months. You will be supplied with a set of fresh towels (bath, hand, face) and a robe for each guest as well as linens for each bed but you are required to do all washing that is required upon a lengthy stay. We can happily accommodate any additional cleaning services upon request, for an additional fee. We provide a small vacuum, a mop and broom that is for your use. All-purpose cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, bathroom, window cleaner and dish soap is also available for your use. The atmosphere here is pretty laid back, the house is large and bright with good vibes. Guest access All guests are welcome to enjoy the use of our yard/garden and play a round of basketball in the Spring/Summer...we'd love to join you! Feel free to use our Bar-B-Q with rotisserie upon request and use our patio furniture in the spring/summer months on our back deck...it's just up the stairs - we don't bite! If we're using the Bar-B-Q there is loads of room for more on the grill - just ask! Please ask us about our hot tub - you are more than welcome to use it but there are rules and regulations and a request the night prior is preferable since sometimes we turn off the heat - so we'd need to get it primed up for you as well as make sure it's in good, clean working order. Feel free to use our clothesline on the upper deck on warm/dry days but make sure you take down your belongings for the next person to use. Other things to note There is a subway that is so close by (lucky us!) but you will hear it underneath the house and as subways run - early in the mornings. We've had many nights living in the unit (as tenants) many years ago and have had many of our own previous tenants that say eventually it just becomes "white noise". Regarding noise: We enjoy playing (and practicing) guitar, bass, electronic drums (on headphones), piano (very rare), and singing on some weekends and evenings until 11 or midnight (on weekends). You may also hear such noises as the coffee grinder, espresso machine, dishes being put away, people walking about or going/up down the stairs (it's an old creaky home). NOTE ON PETS: We love to have your pets here but sometimes they smell, they don't mean to but we get it...and they shed.....sometimes A LOT! Please be aware that if you plan to bring an animal, there has been times we've had to take an extra day to clean the unit because of lots of fur on and under the furniture, rug and carpets and we've also had to replace furniture due to damage (cat claws, etc)...If this is the case, you will be required to pay for an additional cleaning fee and/or damage fee.
