Raven House, 3 bedroom, Rolla 5 mi, Ft Wood 22 mi

Raven House hobby and guest house is a comfortable, tidy, home located in Doolittle, Missouri just minutes from Rolla, and an easy 20 minute drive to Ft. Leonard Wood. It is conveniently located right off I-44 interstate highway. It is child and pet friendly and has a fenced outdoor area so great for a family or a quiet place for a single traveler. It is available for short or long stays whether for work or relaxation. Enjoy the comforts of home while away from home at my place, Raven House. The space Covered carport parking for 2 cars, back covered patio, 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, dining, and living room. built in 1968, remodeled in the 90s, refreshed in the last 5 years with new paint and flooring. Guest access The main house is accessible except for the detached garage storage and utility closet. Access by lockbox. Other things to note Pets-Well kept pets are welcome and are plus $10 per night each, paid after you book before stay as an added fee through Resolution Center. Please clean up after your pets and monitor them outside. We do have nice fenced area and doggie door medium sized opening. TV- Smart TVs (2) with Netflix provided in living room only or you can login to your own platforms (NO cable/satelite/antenna service). Xbox will play DVD/Blu-rays and guests can login to their own gaming account services. There are a few DVDs on site you can watch too. House location- It is located about a mile from interstate highway so you can hear road noise out front. You cannot see the interstate as it is not located on the highway. I notice noise less out back and I do not notice inside. It is also located in Doolittle, which is about 5 miles from Rolla, one exit west of Rolla. Please look at listing map to see approximate location. House style- This house is a practical house, not a posh house. It works well for me and has also for most guests. There are storage shelves as is pictured in the listing in the main area. I am realizing people have very different views on this, some people love the eclectic nature of Raven House so much that they actually "rave" about it. Please review the images provided to make sure this listing suits you. Please only book Raven House if you feel you can appreciate and enjoy your stay. I welcome guests and find being part of their lives in this way meaningful. Cleanliness- I clean this house with my mother 5 to 8 hours after each stay to make sure it is nice for you. Even when it LOOKS clean we clean it then sanitize it. Because of this time involved we do charge a cleaning fee and ask you to leave it in the condition of arrival. The bathtub is original from 1968 and cleaned and sanitized between each stay. Due to the age of the tub it looks older. This house is a good value for the price. Extra guests- Linens, bedding, and towels for the 7th to 10th people will only be present when booked for the larger group size in advance booking. Reminder these extra 2-4 people can be hosted on an air mattress/s you set up and couch & folding chair in the living room space. Please consider if this sleeping arrangement is desirable for your group. Reminder there is only 1 bathroom. Advertised price on listing is for 1 to 4 registered guests, each added guest is + $10 per day. All guests must be on the booking. Guest number changes reducing fees will not be refunded within 5 days of stay. Water fun- If going to a water activity such as boating, lake, swimming please bring towels along or use only the colorful towels in the laundry area. Be sure not to lose them! Hunters- If hunting/fishing no dressing of animals can be done on site at guest house inside or outside. Please make arrangements to process catch/harvest offsite. Following stay home, appliances, and grounds need to be in same condition as arrival. Personal coolers need to be used to store meat. Trash-We cannot accept extra trash/discarded materials beyond typical household trash and recycling from your stay. I must pack all trash to my home trash service in my car to another city so no excessive or messy trash can be left. Please bag trash before placing in trash cans. This is my personal second home I share with others when I am not using it. It is designed for me and my family, but when I decided to offer to other guests too I also designed it for you. I thought about things a traveler would want and need, a comfy bed with Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam 12 inch mattress, clean fresh linens, lamps at bedside tables, soft towels, spa style waffle robes, hair dryers in each room, room darkening curtains, extra plush blankets, soft rug beside the bed, sound machines and fans in each room, toiletries, a generous amount of basic coffee grounds, tea, bottled water and various snacks, a picnic table outside on the covered porch to sit and watch the wildlife. This listing is appreciated by most and that makes me feel really happy to share it. I really try to make this a great stay.
