This lovely home is bordered on the east side by private open space land that is contiguous to open US Forest Service land and ultimately The Domeland Wilderness. We do not keep dangerous animals on the property. However, the property is a very rural setting and bounded on the east by undeveloped, natural land and the wildlife that call it home. Local wildlife include fox, mice, rabbits, squirrels, bobcats, mountain lions, black bears, a variety of snakes and other reptiles (including rattlesnakes), and a variety of birds (including an abundance of hummingbirds, hawks, osprey and owls). It's very rare to see bears. If you have questions about flora and fauna please send a message. The neighborhood consists of only 6-7 homes that are quite spread out and sit 100 ft or so back from the road, allowing Meadow Oak a quiet, secluded feel. Please note that the backyard is adjacent to pine and oak savannah and is not completely fenced. During summer the house is cooled by mini-split air conditioning units that are individually programmable by room. The mini-split units also provide heat in the winter. Guests will enjoy a gas fireplace that nicely heats the home during winter and also provides a cozy ambiance.
