St Michael's Mission Finger Lakes, small group

Welcome to St. Michael's Mission, circa 1924. Come, relax on 50 sprawling & secluded acres which adjoins thousands of acres of public lands. (which no one seems to know about...) Enjoy splendid gorge hiking along the hemlocks to Hemlock Lake, a privatized & undeveloped finger lake. This castle on a hill was originally built as a live in seminary, so the guest rooms of varying size have a dormitory feel, each with full private baths. Your stay includes an eat in social kitchen, outdoor grill etc. The space Generally speaking, this is a large facility with multiple wings and rooms. St. Michael's was originally built as a seminary so many parts have a dorm style feeling with large halls, classrooms, library, chapels etc... There are seven kitchens throughout the facility and generally what we do is situate groups so that they are together and share common spaces among their group and couples and smaller groups get placed together in smaller halls. Guest access This is a large facility, and while we enjoy hosting large groups. This listing is intended for the smaller groups that we can place wherever convenient in the facility. Groups of 8 or more should see our other listing and can book an entire wing or more delineated spaces. Please note there are RING cameras installed at main entrances which are automatically recording all visitors coming and going, (audio and video) During your stay Host is on site daily to answer questions about the neighborhood, local attractions, and to help orient you about hiking the property, yet knows when it's time to take a hike himself. =] Other things to note Please note that if you're a group of less than 8, we may wish to place you elsewhere in the facility in order to accommodate larger groups wanting to stay. We will generally always provide equal or better placement or offer other concessions in such a circumstance. Thanks for your understanding. At this time however this facility has only recently been made available to the Airbnb community in an effort to support a missions group and a cause in which we are able to work towards preserving the timepieces of history that this unique property and structures represent. This is to say that, only because of our recent endeavors to make this place available to guests, that it is likely that there will be very few if any other travelers here at the same time as your group.
