Castle Mtn. Studio, Reg #3088 in Estes Park, is a well-appointed studio with a antler chandelier, vaulted ceiling, kitchen, covered patio with gas grill, mountain views, flowerboxes and alfresco dining. The 1-acre retreat is walking distance to downtown Estes, along the Fall River, and 3 miles to RMNP! It has all the comforts of home - queen bed, leather loveseat, fast Wi-Fi, cable tv. The Bunkhouse at Old Man Mountain has 3 units in the red-metal-roof-cabin with private entrances and patios. Welcome to The Bunkhouse at Old Man Mountain, Castle Mtn. studio is a well designed efficient space for 1 guest or a couple looking for great access to Rocky Mountain National Park and the village of Estes Park. The red-metal roofed-cabin was designed by our father, an architect who studied under Frank Lloyd Wright. Castle Mountain studio is a (380 sq. ft.) studio suite with contemporary / western décor. It was named after the mountain view out the large picture window. The space has a vaulted ceiling, antler chandelier over the dining table, flat screen TV with premium cable/ showtime, fast dependable Wi-fi (upgraded fiber optic), a queen comfortable bed, quality linens, leather dining chairs and loveseat, a large closet, and a built-in desk and dresser. There is a tiled bathroom with walk-in shower and there is a large vanity just outside the door. The kitchen has a 2-burner stove top (no oven), a microwave, small refrigerator, kitchen sink, coffee maker, toaster, pots/pans, dishes, crock pot, spices, and there's a gas grill on the covered patio. The patio has flowers in season, a water feature outside your window, Old Man Mountain, Castle Mtn. and continental divide views and visiting wildlife. The outdoor table and chairs and BBQ grill are great for enjoying the beautiful grounds while enjoying coffee or dinner. There are two Adirondack chairs for relaxing and stargazing. The Bunkhouse sits on a rock bluff high above Elkhorn Ave., the main street through downtown. It is less than a mile to downtown Estes - peak season there is some road noise as cars drive into the park. You can walk into town or catch the free open-air trolley. It is across the street from the Fall River - a designated wildlife corridor, Old Man Mountain - a native American spiritual site, a sweet roll bakery, and you can hike into Rocky Mountain National Park behind the mountain. This is one of three attached vacation rental suites at The Bunkhouse at Old Man Mountain. It is family owned and operated for over 11 years; we have been in the area for two generations. If you require a larger space or wish to rent additional units please see our two other listings on this site, or click on my profile. Located on a 1 acre property with plenty of parking, in a very walkable neighborhood with wildlife and majestic views. This studio suite is one of three units available at The Bunkhouse at Old Man mountain; all units have private entrances, kitchens, patios and decks. There is a shared laundry on site. Rent only what you need: the 3 units will sleep up to 8 total guests. Great for couples, or family / friend gatherings - while maintaining some private space. The owners: Denice, Brian, and Dana are available when needed. I will answer all your reservation questions through this site. Brian, my brother, is the onsite manager. He will give you privacy, but is available as needed. Due to Covid we are utilizing self-check-in, and a 1 to 2-day gap between all reservations. Brian and Dana can recommend restaurants, hikes, & favorite excursions in the park. The "Welcome Book" inside the unit has many of our best recommendations. We also have hiking books and on call maintenance. Less than a mile to downtown Estes Park, but still quiet and secluded. Homes in the neighborhood are on large lots with grand old ponderosa pines and giant boulders. Located across the street from the Fall River - a wildlife corridor for elk, deer, wild turkey, coyotes, bobcat, and an occasional bear and bighorn sheep. Wake up in the morning and walk across the street to the best cinnamon roll bakery in Estes. Only 3 mile from the Fall River entrance to Rocky Mtn. National Park. Walk to downtown restaurants and shops on the Fall River Trail, or catch the free open-air trolley into town. A great residential neighborhood, off the main street through town. Listen to the soothing sound of the Fall river at night. Summer & Fall open-air trolley stop is a block from the Bunkhouse. It will take you around town and to the visitor center, where you can catch a shuttle bus to RMNP. It is a beautiful 10 minute walk to the village on the Fall River Trail (0.6 mile). There is off-street parking on the 1 acre property. For fast access to the grocery, and to avoid the busy downtown, use the Wonderview Expressway. The Bunkhouse has easy winter / snow access (no steep driveways) and it is right off the main street through downtown. We utilize a 1-day gap between reservations to meet your expectations and provide self check-in. The suites are professionally cleaned. Rent from second generation residents and enjoy like a local. We take pride in paying attention to the details. Reg.#3088 in Estes Park.
