Big Tree Farm hideaway with a view
Big Tree Farm hideaway with a view
Description
Welcome to Big Tree Farm! Enjoy the views of the farm from this recently renovated apartment attached to our family home. Only 1.5 miles from the village center yet surrounded by fields and forests. The National Warplane Museum and grass strip airfield are adjacent and walkable. Extremely convenient for college visits and any events at the airport. Big Tree Lane is just off Rt 63, it is a 1 mile private gravel road to our house (can be bumpy) The space Apartment has a private entrance. There is a Queen size bed, so this is a great space for 2. Also a small sitting room/kitchen area with fridge, microwave and Keurig. There is a hip roof, so the ceilings are slanted. The pictures do make it look a little bigger than it is. Many guests comment that the bed is very comfortable and our linens are of high quality. There is a large picture window facing the horse field. There is an AC and heat unit, with remote control. As you will see from our reviews, our guest love staying here! Guest access You do need a car, as we are 1.5 miles from Main St and the college. We have plenty of parking. We are a big white farm house at the end of Big Tree Lane. We are surrounded by acres of farmland, the Genesee River and a grass strip airfield. You may see fox, deer, or ground hogs. The pool area will not be available to guests. There is not a full kitchen. The horse field has an electric fence around it, so please be aware of that. Other things to note We are near a working farm, so there could be some farm noises. We do not have cows, only horses. The barns are all off limits. We are in the country so there could be some wild animals around. Beware of deer on Big Tree Lane, they often cross on the hill by the woods, or even on the flats. We are next to a grass strip airfield, so there are often events there, but that just adds to the fun of staying here!
