From the Hart Farm: Dupont Room (Room #2 of 2)

My farm is 8 miles from Brevard and a 45 min. drive to downtown Asheville. I am nestled between Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest, which means unlimited hiking, waterfalls, swimming, kayaking and fishing. Cyclers will enjoy being on one of the many routes, while mountain bikers can enjoy forest trails and challenge themselves to the Oskar Blues Reeb Ranch. Equestrian folks can avail themselves to our local horse boarders and ride in both forests. There is something for everyone! The space This small farm is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to relax on the porch or by the fire pit after a day of adventures or touring around Western North Carolina. My home is located on a quiet country road directly on one of many popular bicycle routes, and is only a 5 minute drive to Dupont State Forest. Visitors will enjoy taking a nice walk around this picturesque valley community or driving into nearby Brevard for an evening out. Brevard features the internationallly-acclaimed Brevard Music Center with amazing outdoor concert series all summer. It is also home to the Grammy Award winning Steep Canyon Rangers, which often features our local resident Steve Martin. If you go into Brevard, you may also have the fortune of seeing our infamous white squirrels! Our area is also home to countless summer camps for children of all ages. If you are dropping off your child(ren) or getting ready to pick them up from camp, this would be a great place to stay the night! Guest access You are welcome to use the kitchen for light cooking, relax in the open space downstairs, which has a living room with a TV, fireplace and a dining room. There is a private front porch for you to enjoy and a large grassy yard with a fire pit. Say hello to my cows and chickens if you like and let me know if you are up for helping to collect eggs! There is secure storage for your bikes and other equipment, as well as an area to clean up your equipment after your adventure. During your stay I enjoy meeting new people and am more than happy to give you ideas on where to go and what to do and see during your visit. I also have plenty of farm work to do, so if you'd rather keep to yourself, please enjoy the solitude. Other things to note The Dupont room is one of two that are upstairs. I live on the lower floor of the home. The bathroom upstairs is only for Airbnb guests. If the other room (Pisgah room) is occupied, then you will be sharing the bathroom with that guest(s).
