The space ABOUT THE LOCATION - To be clear and transparent, my space is for the practical person that just needs an affordable place to sleep, cook, and go to work. There's little to no communal space other than the kitchen and backyard patio. However, the location is very convenient. I live in walking distance to the North Lamar Transit center with express buses to UT/Downtown, Domain, Arboretum, Mueller, the Triangle in 5-20 mins. Within walking distance to many amazing restaurants, taco trucks, lots of convenience and grocery stores, Target. ABOUT THE ROOM - furnished, private bedroom room. - there is only one shared bathroom It's never been a problem because everyone living here is considerate and cleans after themselves. - Hi Speed internet/wifi is private and secure through Spectrum - There is no living room space so ideal for someone who just needs an affordable place to rest, shower, and prepare meals in a clean, comfortable atmosphere. There is a private backdoor patio. ABOUT THE KITCHEN - Each person will have their own personal labeled shelf space in the fridge as well as the pantry. - Feel free to contribute and help yourself to anything in the "FREE TO SHARE" cabinet. please keep all personal food in your labeled spaces otherwise. - There is tea, pantry goods, cooking oil, spices, dishes, pots and pans on the labeled shelves that you are welcome to use. I just ask that you clean up after yourself and be mindful of the other housemates particularly the ones sleeping. PARKING AND LAUNDRY - off street guest parking available for guests. You can also purchase an official resident parking pass for $1/day. - onsite laundry center $1.35 wash, $1.35 dry, card-operated Make yourself at home and let me know if you have any questions. and A LITTLE ABOUT ME - Asian male, straight (if that matters to you. gender, orientation, and race are not important to me as much as character) - reasonably laid-back, fair, considerate, and clean. Please see what previous guests have said. - don't drink or smoke, I just get high on music, food, movement/sports, and art. okay if you smoke but please keep it outside. There is an backyard patio. - I am an introvert, keep to myself and respect your privacy. I also try to be available to answer questions. - morning person and creature of habit, wake around 6:30AM and off to bed around 9:30PM. - Although I prefer to live with a roommate I could also consider a friend, I do not expect that. My minimum expectation is that rent is paid on time and that you pick up after yourself. - I write, edit photos, make visual arts, and record music from home so I prefer to have a quiet house the house to myself for a stretch of 5-8 hours and am looking for compatible guests - My intention is to find a balance between meeting my needs for quiet work/creativity hours and providing an environment where you feel comfortable and at ease in your temporary home. Generally the kitchen is available 7AM-11PM and for cooking between 8AM-9PM. LAUNDRY: Requires an phone app. $2 Wash, $2 Dry GENERAL: Please turn off lights when private rooms are not in use. There are notes posted around the house with info on house rules, best practices and general info. There is no curfew. You may come and go as you please. Just keep in mind that the housemates go to bed around 11PM and wake around 7AM. Please be respectful of the other guests in the house by keeping noise level down. 10:00 pm is usually a good quiet time. This is a smoke and drug free house.
