Haida Way is located close to Royal Roads University, world renowned golf courses, local hiking, trails (Galloping Goose) and of course, numerous beaches. This bright, 890 sq/ft ground level suite can sleep 2 people comfortably. We are located only 15 km from the heart of downtown Victoria! Numerous beaches and golf courses (Olympic View, Metchosin, Bear Mountain, Royal Colwood) are moments from your door step. The Haida Way is the perfect place to unwind, recharge and see some of the greatest sights the island has to offer. NOTE: As of August 15, 2023 we will only allow non-shedding dog(s). Please advise prior to your booking the type of dog(s). Guests have access to a full suite, including a fully set up kitchen, bright living room with great views, bathroom with tub and shower, and large bedroom with a queen size bed. Outdoor table, chairs, couch and fire table. The yard is fully fenced in for guests who choose to bring their pets. There is also room to store bicycles in the unit and outdoor storage for kayaks. Within the suite are numerous brochures and a guest guide book to help you select activities and sights to explore while in Victoria. We can provide a range of additional services including pet sitting, restaurant recommendations, sight seeing recommendations, etc. We are available to to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, while respecting your privacy. There is one parking space available for guests. It is advisable guests have a vehicle as we are located on the top of a fairly large incline. There are numerous car rental agencies in the area and taxi services are plentiful. Interesting sights to explore while at the Haida Way: Love hiking and the beach? Vancouver Island has some of the best beaches. Wittys Lagoon: located 5 minutes from the Haida Way. A short hike from the parking area (20 min) through magnificent forest leads you to the stunning beach. Esquimalt Lagoon and bird sanctuary: located 5 minutes from the Haida Way. This saltwater rich lagoon is a major route of travel for migratory birds that extends from Alaska to Patagonia. The federally designated Migratory Bird Sanctuary encompasses the lagoon and adjacent lands. Albert Head Lagoon: located 5 minutes from the Haida Way. This is a lovely spot for a quite outing. Enjoy a walk, picnic, explore the beach or bird watch. Love to golf? Victoria has some world class golf courses. Bear Mountain Golf & Country Club: located 10 km from the Haida Way, this is the only 36 holes of Nicklaus Design golf in Canada. In September 2016, Bear Mountain will host the PGA Tour. Olympic View Golf Course: located 5 minutes from the Haida Way, the golf course boasts beautiful views of the Olympic Mountains and is rated 'Top 10 Best Public Golf Facility' in British Columbia by ScoreGolf Magazine.
