Cool mid-century home, 10 minutes from downtown

Stay in our mid-century home with us. It is near UT and outdoor trails and parks. A peaceful, tree-covered lot just 9 minutes from downtown. Plenty of parking on street. Comfy bed and room darkening shades. Smoking allowed in front. Coffee, teas, juice & milk. Light breakfast items provided. No cooking privileges-sorry, but it’s too small for all of us. Keyless entry. Late check in is fine. Downtown by car in 8-15 min.; 20 by bus @ $1.25, the stop is 2 blocks. The space The garden features yard art, treasured rock collections, and 2 tables with chairs. A few peacocks roam the neighborhood . Our home is casual and comfortable and we are happy to share it with you. Lots of pillows in your room and comfy couches in the common area. Use our home as a place to rest up after exploring Austin’s great food scene or outdoor activities. Guest access During nice weather the table out front has a pleasant seating area with large trees shading it all day. We share the living and dining areas. We have a great coffee bar! Ninja coffee maker AND a tea kettle with a variety of tea and coffee, along with water and juice in the fridge. During your stay Our office and bedroom are in the back of the home and we welcome conversation. Happy to share tips for travel or site-seeing. Just let us know what you want to see or do and how much time you have. We can help plan your stay or not! See the Highland Lakes, Enchanted Rock, peach picking in the hill country, tubing down the rivers or drive to the historic Alamo in San Antonio. All this and more, less than 2 hours from here. For exploring Austin, Capital Metro Bus service picks up two blocks from our home. $1.25 gets a one-way ticket downtown, University of Texas campus or visiting South Congress.
