We have a great little one bedroom Guest House detached from our main house but to our carport. It is a quiet and safe neighborhood close to everything you'd want in Fort Worth. The space is perfect for one or a couple for a short term rental space. The space Relax in our renovated upscale detached Guest House, located in our backyard. With our shared outdoor cabana, outdoor fireplace, bbq grills, and TV. The cottage has a vintage style bathroom with newer wood floors, and cherry cabinets in the kitchenette. The bedroom and living room have ceiling fans and it has central HVAC, with a tankless hot water and reverse osmosis water. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, toaster, and counter cooktop. There is a cabana where you can eat, drink, and watch TV at outside, or stay inside and relax with our reclining sofa and large flat screen with DirecTV satellite. We have WIFI internet access. Some computers and phones will not get great reception, due to the radiant barrier decking. Varies from phone to phone or laptop to laptop. We are in a very family friendly, walkable, and safe, old 1920'-30's historic neighborhood, convenient to all the cultural, food, shopping, and night life that the city has to offer. Many old and new restaurants within a 10-20 minute walk of the house, 5-15 minute bike ride, or 5 minute car ride to most of what the Central City has to offer. The Zoo is a block and half away, TCU is less than 1.3 miles away. The hospitals are less than a mile away. Downtown is less thand 3 miles away! The Trinity Trails are just a quick walk down the road and give you numerous options for exercise and fun. We have an Enterprise and Avis Rental Car down the road that is cheaper than the DFW Airport rentals if you need a car. There is a Shuttle from DFW airport to Ft.Worth for about $20pp. Downtown Dallas is commutable by train from Downtown Ft. Worth, for about five dollars and about 35 miles and an approximate hour commute. We are a five minute walk to a brand new Citywide Bike Share Program, BCycle, that has parking and rental installations spread around the city core, a public bus line is a couple blocks away but infrequent. We are minutes from the Convention Center in Downtown Fort Worth, the newly designed and beautiful Sundance Square, Bass Hall, TCU, the Zoo, University Shopping Village, Apple Store, the Colonial Country Club, the Trinity River Trails that connect you by bike to downtown along the river, the famous Museums, the Fort Worth Rodeo Collesium, the Ft.Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, the Hospital District, the Stockyards, and the Historic South Side where you'll find great breakfast, lunch, and dinner of all kinds from independent owners. Along with Rahr Brewery, Martin and Sons, Revolver, and F&R TX Whiskey Distillery. The Old Neighborhood Grill, Old Pancake House, Vickery Cafe, or the Paris Cafe are all great for breakfast. Blue Mesa, Torchy's, Fuzzy's, Shaw's, The Woodshed (over-rated), or Park Hill Cafe for brunch or lunch. And Joe T. Garcia's (cash only), Chadra's, Coopers BBQ, Angelo's (cash only), Railhead, Ellerbee's (Michelen Rated 5*), Waters, Bonnell's, Del Friscoe's, Reatta, Shinjuku Sushi Station, Café Bella's Italian (BYOB), Spiral Diner (Vegan) and many others are great for lunch or dinner. For live music head over to the Live Oak, Lola's Saloon, Fred's Cafe, Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, the Wild Rooster, the Aardvark, Scat Lounge, or Billy Bob's of Texas Honky Tonk! There's always something to do in Cowtown! And always something new popping up. We are a family of four, with two daughters. We love to play soccer, watch baseball, football, and basketball, or swim when its hot in the summer. We work from our house as much as we do outside of it, and are available to help with your needs and willing to give suggestions if you ask. We'll respect your privacy and appreciate the same, but if you do want to get together for drinks on the patio at night we are willing to get together. If we see somebody on the patio watching TV with a drink we'll be glad to grab a bottle to share or leave you to enjoy the quiet. We prefer no pets but will make exceptions for an additional fee for very exceptional pets, and no smoking on our property with minor exceptions. If you need anything just ask. Just call or text for help or a request. Anything worth seeing in Fort Worth is minutes by car from our house. We are also 18-19 miles or 20-30 minutes to Cowboys Stadium and The Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, along with Six Flags over Texas, U.T. Arlington. 25 miles from DFW Airport. Near Lockheed, Bell Hellicopter, Exxon-Mobil, GM, American Airlines, and hundreds of other Fortune 500 companies that have offices in North Texas. We are fairly new to Airbnb, but have hosted friends from all over the the USA, Canada, Australia, France, Ireland, Iceland, Mexico, and enjoyed having all of them. If we are able to, we'd love to host our next friendly guests from near or afar, and show them our love of the city of Fort Worth, and the state of Texas. We will wash your linens and towels on request only, for stays over 6 days, just place in a bag outside the back door and let us know. Personal laundry can be taken to the cleaners up the street or full service laundry mat on 8th Ave. We will try to help with any special requests you have, just ask us. We do not do daily cleanings in the Guest House or make your beds while you stay with us, that is up to you. We won't enter the space without permission. We ask you keep it clean and tidy on your own. If any basic essentials need to be restocked just let us know. If you need our help to clean we can hire help and pass that fee along, to help you for stays longer than a week. We'll need to have that request at least 7 days in advance to plan accordingly. We can hire weekly or bi monthly house cleaning for $50 per visit. Groceries and prepared foods are your responsibility, and is the main distinction from us and a true BnB. Our guests are mostly business professionals, medical students, visiting families, and traveling folks, looking to experience the better side of DFW! Please don't hesitate to ask us if you have any special requests for your stay and we'll do our best to accommodate. We are very proud of our city, and our neighborhood we live in, and once you come to visit us, you'll see why we like to brag about it. It's not the mountains, the beaches, the coast, the scenic rolling trails of America, but it is Fort Worth and home to us. We love it, and hope you do too! Thanks!
