The space This is a spacious 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, centrally located home that sleeps up to 5 people (4 adults, 1 child, unless second is under 2 max). As per city fire code, and for your safety and comfort, a maximum of 4 people are allowed to stay overnight and 6 people are allowed to occupy the Brooklyn Cottage during the day. There is full modern kitchen with a full size dishwasher, oven, and large fridge. The bathroom has a full tub with tile surround. Warm and comfortable heat in the winter and cool and relaxing air conditioning in the summer. Towels and Linens provided. Close on-street parking. On-site gas grill available for use. WiFi (up to 30Mbps download and 20Mbps upload speeds) and a flat screen TV with Roku (bring your own passwords for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, or if you are not a subscriber you usually can sign up for free 7 day trial while here, etc...). Note: there is no cable or streaming service included. Besides the comfortable and modern interior, the Brooklyn Cottage is conveniently located close to Downtown Portland and the Willamette River, Oaks Bottom Wildlife refuge, bus lines, a train line (Max lightrail Orange Line), bike trails, running trails, many universities and colleges, numerous cultural and entertainment activities, grocery stores, restaurants, spas and gyms, and a number of major medical centers. Guest access Guests will have access to everything inside this standalone 800sf cottage. Guests can also share the yard with the owners who live in the separate main house on the same property. An additional sleeper sofa is in the living room that can sleep one more person. As per city code, a maximum of 5 people (4 adults, 1 child max, unless another is under 2) can sleep in the Brooklyn Cottage. There is one bathroom in the Brooklyn Cottage with a full bathtub and shower combined with tile surround. Full kitchen with full-sized oven, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge. Dinnerware for six. Pots and pans included. Cooking oil, salt, pepper, and some spices are included in the rental. Wireless internet (Up to 30Mbps download and 20Mbps upload speeds) included in the rental price. Fast enough for zoom calls and video streaming. 5 bath towels, 5 hand towels, 5 wash clothes provided. 1 roll of paper towels and several dish towels provided. One flat screen HD TV with a DVD player and Roku is available to use during your stay. Please bring your own passwords for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, or if you are a new subscriber there is usually a free 7 day trial for these services. Unrestricted free on-street parking is available usually within one block or so of the rental. Loading and unloading in the driveway is okay, but please keep the driveway clear for emergency access. Playpen and clip-on highchair available upon request with a minimum of one days notice. If you can let us know even further in advance it is much appreciated. Other things to note The City of Portland has issued a short term rental permit to The Brooklyn Cottage indicating it has been properly inspected and is a legal short-term rental in Portland. We want to address how we are managing your safety in regard to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) while you are visiting our Airbnb. Your health is our highest priority. We are taking this very seriously and are using 99.9% anti-virus cleaners on all surfaces including wiping door knobs, counter tops, tables, chairs, and remotes, in addition to the bathroom sink, tub, and toilet. Please know that if you are traveling and staying in our Airbnb that it will be clean and that we have focused on sanitation with the Coronavirus in mind. Finally, all exterior spaces of the Brooklyn Cottage are monitored 24 hours per day and 7 days per week with security cameras to improve guest safety and ensure guest counts.
