This Wishon Cove family cabin on the quiet south shore has a large furnished covered deck with lake front view. We are just steps to our community boat dock with dedicated boat slip and swim platforms. Our sheltered swim cove has a beach just 4 houses down. Take a short walk around the cove to Miller's Landing Resort for a bite to eat or a cold treat. Enjoy an evening fire inside or at the fire pit on the patio. Very quiet private neighborhood. My grandfather built our cabin in 1959 when he was just 30-31 years old. My grandparents gathered the river rocks themselves and built the fireplace, hearth and chimney. The living room is original. All rooms except bathrooms have wormwood cedar walls, and tongue-in-groove pine plank ceilings. It lives and sleeps large but retains that rustic “cabin in the woods” feel. Roughly 1500 square feet. The bathrooms and kitchen have been updated. We added on a large 10’x30’ upper deck, a lower deck with stairs to access lake and a patio with a fire pit. This cabin is perfect for 2 or 3 families to vacation together or multi-generational family togetherness. We are NOT a good choice for a large friend group to party. We have a quiet neighborhood with neighbors who live in and others come to enjoy their vacation homes and listen to the birds chip and the sounds of the lake. We are a great choice for your relaxing, responsible vacation. We allow 12 guests max no additional visitors. We are lakefront with beautiful views out to the lake and also into the cove to keep an eye on the swimming kids. We are in Wishon cove, very close to Miller's Landing Resort. Just a short walk around the cove. Yes, we have cell coverage and we subscribe to the highest speed available internet in the mountains. We now have limited A/C for the family room, dining room and it helps keep the kitchen more comfortable. For evenings and overnight, we have a whole house fan that pulls cool outside air in through windows. All bedrooms have fans and room heaters. There is on-the-lake lounging space on the HOA boat dock/swim platforms. We have a dedicated boat slip if you bring a boat or choose to rent one. We have a fully stocked kitchen. We easily host our extended family for holiday dinners. This includes but not limited to a full set of pots, roaster, non-stick pans, toaster, blender, coffee makers (drip, Keurrig, or French press), Ice-tea maker, ice-maker in freezer, griddle, waffle-maker, stand mixer, hand mixture, measuring cups and spoons, grater, food processor, knife set, crockpot, electric skillet, mixing bowls, baking sheets, casseroles, muffin pans etc. Induction cooktop, microwave and double wall oven. 1 bedroom, 1 bath on main level with a driveway access means that you can bring your passenger or supplies down to the base of the driveway nearly level to the front door. A small step up at front door but otherwise no need to walk steep hills or take stairs if you have someone with mobility issues in your party. Downstairs there are 4 bedrooms and 1 full bath downstairs with tub plus 1/2 bath and stacked washer/dryer. The living room invites relaxation with 2 rocker/recliners and a large, soft leather sectional with 3 reclining seats. We have 2 flat screen televisions with cable upstairs and smart tv for streaming services. You can play DVDs from our library on either the main tv or the one in the “kids” bedroom. Enjoy our collection of board games, dice, poker chips and cards. Or grab a book from the shelf and head to the hammock. We have an outdoor fire pit for roasting marshmallows on those warm summer nights or for just relaxing and star-gazing. Inside, a large wood-burning fireplace keeps us warm in the colder months. Firewood is provided. Fire safety and awareness is a must! Keep your fires manageable, know how to manage and put a lid on it. We love our cabin and have put in a lot of effort to make it very comfortable and we very much hope you enjoy it too. Entire 5 bedroom cabin and dock, boat slip, sun deck and patio with CHARCOAL BBQ and fire pit. I'm a stay-at-home mom available by phone/text with any questions or concerns. I have local service people established to help with any issues that may arise. We are in Wishon Cove about a block from Miller's Landing Resort. We have a small, very quiet neighborhood. It is extremely important that quiet hours of 10pm to 8am are observed as well as neighborhood and boat dock etiquette. Walking distance to swim cove, dam, boat launch, Miller's Landing or hiking trail. 45 minutes to Fresno 20 minutes to Oakhurst 25-30 to Chukchansi 90 minutes to Yosemite Care for a drive? Try the Sierra Vista scenic byway to Mammoth Pool. We supply a CHARCOAL GRILL. Please BRING YOUR OWN charcoal. Don’t bring lighter fluid. Use starter cubes or loose material and our provided chimney starters. We have fans and room heaters in every room. No central air/heat. We are not childproofed. We have a door at the top of the stairs to keep smaller children up in the common area. Deck rails are to code and bottom deck gates have slide locks to prevent escapes by younger children. Two double sized beds in one room are lower for our shorter guests. Unfortunately due to wildlife, outdoor trash cans are not allowed on premises. We do not have curbside pickup. Trash must be removed to dumpster a short walk, half a block down the hill.
