Exmoor Holidays offers the perfect peaceful retreat to relax, unwind and explore the stunning Exmoor coastline and countryside by car, bicycle, horse, landrover safari, or on foot. Numerous footpaths including the South West Coast Path and Coleridge Way are all accessible directly from our doorstep. For those wanting to get away from it all our large south facing garden with sheltered patio and sun terrace captures the sun from dawn through to dusk and is a haven of peace and tranquillity where one can quietly sit and listen to birdsong whilst the sun goes down. Situated in a peaceful lane in the traditional Exmoor village of Porlock but only a couple of minutes walk from the historic Ship Inn and traditional Porlock village centre. Because the property is built on a hillside most of the accommodation is on the first floor, accessed via a flight of stairs. Bedroom 4 is on the ground floor with its own kitchen & lounge diner for 2, perfect for friends/families who wish for their own space or who require ground floor accommodation. We are very popular as a generation vacation or for groups of friends seeking a memorable holiday together. Guest access This listing is for our house to be rented as a large 4 bedroom house with secure private garden and 2 car parking spaces. There is a connecting door to the ground floor accommodation which is unlocked to open the house up to become 1 large property as advertised on this website (listed elsewhere as Maxwelton 3 bed house and Bracken 1 bed apartment where the connecting door is locked). Other things to note During peak season our changeover day ideally is Saturday, but we try to be flexible and accommodate your needs where possible. Outside of peak season flexible changeover days available. We accept a maximum of 3 well behaved dogs subject to owners agreeing to our terms and conditions about dogs staying in the property. There is an additional charge of £25 per week for 1 dog, + £10 for dog for the additional dogs. We regret we cannot accept puppies or any dogs who are incontinent or destructive to safeguard the high standards of our accommodation.
