10-minutes to DePauw and downtown Greencastle is an idyllic country cottage getaway. Facing a pond stocked with fish, surrounded by woods and farm fields, the King bedroom, 1 bath guesthouse is a private retreat. Living area has a queen sleeper sofa for extra guests, WiFi, TV, dining table/chairs, electric fireplace, kitchenette w/ a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Guests have access to the grassy lawn, large fire pit, fishing poles, pond dock with Adirondack chairs and more. The Pond House is a cheerfully decorated guest cottage with country furnishings, rocking chairs on the porch overlooking the pond, surrounded by fields of crops, cattle, horses and recreational woods. The kitchenette has a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker to make breakfast or keep cold drinks and snacks. Spring thru Fall, guests at The Pond House can enjoy: * coffee or drinks on the porch or the dock * fishing in the pond, * Ping Pong in the garage * Lawn games (corn hole, croquet) * hiking in the woods * sitting around the fire pit. In the winter: * an electric fireplace and down comforters will keep you cozy while playing cards and reading books * the outdoor fire pit to make S/mores,. During your stay, the owners or other Airbnb guests may be in the adjacent family farmhouse, but you will have plenty of privacy, designated parking and access to the dock, fire pit, lawn and grounds. If so, the common areas like the yard and dock as well as the parking in driveway will be shared. Self-check in with personalized code for electronic keypad. Caretaker lives nearby and will be on call for emergencies, but not be on site.
