Centrally located, newly renovated warehouse features 100 year old tin ceilings, heart pine floors, new amenities include granite counters, stainless appliances, central air/heat, ceramic tile baths, dishwasher, washer/dryer! Late check-in available, 6-10pm for $30 fee. Early check (if available) can be arranged for a $20 fee. The space This is one of the most popular units in the entire building. Experience downtown RVA from this newly built condo overlooking historic downtown. Located inside a circa 1909 furniture and music warehouse, this massive 22 month building renovation was done under Federal and State guidelines set forth by the Department of Historic Resources and the Commission of Architectural Review. We essentially maintained all the unique and classic features of this grand old building and renovated it completely to today's standards. We kept the quaint features like the 100 year old heart pine floors, original pressed-tin ceilings, wooden staircases and added new modern amenities such as multiple skylights, multiple atrium's and a gorgeous elevator to give you the best of both worlds. Simply put, it would be a challenge to find a better downtown location in the middle of everything! Unique coffee shops, clothing and music stores, fine restaurants and art galleries are just steps away out your door. This Monroe Ward neighborhood is located minutes from two universities (VCU and MCV). Situated across the street from the Virginia Repertory Theater and southern cuisine favorite, Comfort Restaurant. Our neighbors are the new Quirk Hotel and Rooftop Bar, Bar Solita (next door) City of Richmond Police Headquarters, Comfort, Max's, Perly's, Saison and Tarrants. If you love great food, Richmond is serious about delivering meals and spaces that exceed your expectations. Simply put, this is a great city-central location in the heart of downtown that offers everything to the discerning Richmond traveler or businessperson. Guest access You must be at least 25 years of age to book a condo with us. Only registered guests are approved for access to our property, no visitors or hosted events allowed. Sorry, we do not accept 3rd-party reservations. That's an Airbnb Rule too. The person belonging to the AirBnB account making the reservation must be present for all guests to be checked in. See "House Rules" under "Booking" for more information. Checkin is 3-6pm, late checkin available for $30 fee between 6 and 10 PM (anything past 10 PM would incur a $20 fee for every 30 minutes or fraction thereof). Late check-in is subject to staffing availability (minimum 48 hours notice required), but we will try to accommodate you. Early check (if available) can be arranged for a $20 fee. You have several paid parking choices around the back of the building. You can also park for free on the street on weekends (unless otherwise posted) from Friday 4 PM through Monday at 8 AM. Parking in the City lot runs eight dollars per 12 hours. You can also pay by the day, month or longer by going to the website cityparkingonline enter "monroe ward" as your location. When parking in the paid lot behind the building be DO NOT to park in any spaces painted white, marked with "TR", and/or marked as "Reserved" as you could get towed. We greet all guests arriving in person. Upon arrival, guests will be required to present a valid government ID to make a copy of and keep for our records. At this time you will also need to send us a confirmation text through the Airbnb website. After personal greeting from Via Airbnb website, guests will be texted how to enter the building. Also via Airbnb text message, guests will be given instructions on how to enter their apartment door which will contain a key to enter their room. This is a fully functioning, multi level building that has been converted into luxury apartments and is the home to several first floor businesses. This is a "Quiet Building" we do ask that you keep in mind our yearly residents and refrain from making any disturbances or loud noises during your visit. Other things to note This location has been my part of town for 32 years and gets a 99 out of 100 on a walking score so bring some comfortable sneakers. Besides great restaurants all around, if you love live music we have several recommendations. For local jazz - Emilio's and the Virginia Museum of Fine Art (Thursday nights are always a favorite for both). Want some rock and roll on a big stage? Then check out "The National", its just few blocks down the street. How about Americana to Blues? Try Poe's Pub (a local hangout featuring lots of local artists and musicians). Also First Fridays Art Walk take place every First Friday of the month with several thousand art lovers walking the neighborhood while checking out the galleries and enjoying all that this area has to offer.
