The Butterfly (Primary Suite, Upstairs) Sleeps 6: 2 Queen Beds, 2 Twin Day Beds Elegance meets comfort in this spacious suite featuring lush, dark wood furniture set against crisp white and powder blue accents. The majestic bedroom boasts two luxurious queen beds, while the expansive walk-in closet doubles as a cozy nook with two twin daybeds. Nestled at the end of the hall, this private retreat is perfect for a family or group of up to six! 2. The Honeybee (Upstairs) Sleeps 2: Queen Bed | Crib | TV Buzz over to the Honeybee Room, a warm retreat at the heart of The Hive. Wrapped in golden tones and custom hexagonal wall art, the space features a desk, cozy layered bedding, and natural textures that create a modern organic feel. The walk-in closet has been transformed into an upscale private nursery with a full-size crib. Guests also enjoy direct access to a full bathroom from this room. 3. The Grasshopper (Upstairs) Sleeps 2: King Bed | Crib The Grasshopper Room is a lush green retreat featuring a comfortable king bed and nature-inspired design. A spacious, walk-in closet has been converted to a private nursery with full-size crib. The room's immersive greenery and warm textures create a calm, elevated atmosphere that feels both cozy and intentional. It sits conveniently across the hall from the bathroom and right next to the shared game area. 4. The Ladybug (Upstairs) Sleeps 2: Queen Bed | TV The Ladybug Room is a rich, luxurious retreat anchored by a stately queen bed. Every detail, from the layered fabrics to the warm, glamorous lighting, adds to its sens of sophistication and charm. The room sits across from the bathroom on the opposite side of the game area. 5. The Dragonfly (Main Level) Sleeps 2: Queen Bed Earthy lavender accents and lots of natural light. This bedroom is across the hall from a half bathroom on the main level adjacent to the foyer. 6. The Firefly (Primary on Main Level) Sleeps 2: King Bed | TV The Firefly Room wraps you in a deep, enveloping calm, with navy blue glitter wallpaper that shimmers like a quiet sky just after sunset. Overhead, glow-in-the-dark stars scatter across the ceiling, creating the feeling of settling beneath a soft canopy of night - more elevated stargazing than childhood camping. A king bed anchors the space, giving the room a grounded, cocoon-like comfort that feels both intimate and quietly grand. Tucked on the main level with no other bedrooms nearby and connected to its own full bathroom, it offers a secluded suite-like experience. There are no treacherous, windy, twisty, edge-of-cliff mountain roads to get here! It is right off flat main roads. No need to worry! There are no major drop-offs or hard-to-navigate situations! Unlike many Airbnb's in the Asheville area, you won't be gripping the steering wheel with white knuckles or sweating at the brow to get to The Hive. We are not able to accommodate oversized or heavy work vehicles like dump trucks. Work crews, please find other arrangements for your construction vehicles. The Hive is about a mile outside the Asheville city limits. Asheville law does not allow home-owners inside city limits to rent out their entire house exclusively as a short-term rental. Legally, it must be their primary residence that they rent when they're out of town, for instance. The Hive is exclusively a rental home. PARKING Garage (2 vehicles), driveway space (4 vehicles), gravel parking pad (2 vehicles), additional overflow parking lot nearby MORE THAN 16 GUESTS? If anyone in your group lives within 45 miles of Asheville or plans to visit local friends or relatives, please reach out prior to booking to ensure that the nature of your visit complies with our rules. HOUSE RULES 1. Please do not wear dirty shoes in the house and do not bring food or drinks on carpeted or upholstered areas. 2. Neighborhood quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM and are strictly enforced. 3. Visitors are not allowed, unless included in the formal reservation count. 4. Pets are not allowed. 5. Smoking is not allowed. 6. Due to insurance requirements, Airbnb guests are prohibited from using play equipment on neighboring properties. 7. Please do not roast marshmallows in the indoor fireplace. FIREPLACE The indoor gas fireplace is available for guest use from the beginning of October through the end of February. BEDS The home sleeps 16 guests in beds. While the maximum occupancy is 16 (no exceptions), additional sleeping accommodations (queen air mattress and large plush couch in living room) provide flexibility for different types of group dynamics. STAIRS The property requires the use of stairs and may be difficult for guests with limited mobility. There are two stairs from the garage into the house. CHECK-IN & CHECKOUT We are unable to accommodate early check-ins or late checkouts. We honor our advertised check-in (after 3:00 PM) and checkout (before 10:00 AM) schedule.
