The 'Hideaway' is a basic, no-frills guest room located in one of the best parts of West Harlem; nothing fancy.The apartment has a semi-private entrance in a basement unit. We offer this small room with all the essentials in a basement apartment with a semi-private entrance. Just a couple blocks away is Riverbank State Park and sports complex. WiFi access is included. The apartment is located 3 blocks from the number 1 train and a 5 minutes’ walk to the A/B/C/D. Time Square is about 15- 20 minutes away on the 1 train. . This is an awesome opportunity to stay a few blocks away from City College, Columbia University, Teacher's College, Barnard, Manhattan School of Music etc... There are Deli's, convenience stores and a grocery store 1 short block away And here are just a few of the many cool Restaurants/Venues in the area within walking distance: -Caridad Restaurant-Delicious affordable Dominican cuisine -Hamilton Grange Bar & Eatery -Trufa Restaurant-breakfast/Lunch -Taanto Dulce Cafe-Contental style, brunch and bakery -Tonalli Cafe/Bar-good menu,nice decor and free music on Thursdays. Light kitchen use is fine. As your hosts, we will make sure you get any information you need to enjoy your trip and have a comfortable stay! Please ask if there is something you need. During your stay We do have one other guestroom in the house that you will be sharing common areas with. My mother is always on the premises. I'm usually weekday mornings or weekends making some quick repairs or organizing. We try to create a homely atmosphere where everyone is treated like family. I will always offer you a cup of coffee when you're a guest.
