The Inn at Southport is located in the heart of Southport, just five blocks from the waterfront, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The King Suite at The Inn is tucked away at the back of the property under historic Oak trees. The living room features a bar-style dining table, a pullout sofa bed, a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom which features a King sized bed. The space The Inn at Southport is a Boutique Motel located within walking distance of the riverfront in downtown Southport. While we have been updated, we are still a 1950s building, our rooms are cozy, a great jumping-off point to enjoy the area. The suite was recently redecorated with a King bed and a desk. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa, a live edge wood bar style dining table with 3 stools, and a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Our rooms are a cozy jumping-off point for all that Southport has to offer. This Suite is one of our largest at about 265 sq ft. The plush mattresses are a great place to lay your head during your time in Southport. Apparently, in the 1950s, big bathrooms weren't a priority, so our small bathrooms are just enough space to get ready for the day. The bathroom in this room has a little more elbow room than the others. The white noise machine in the room can be turned on/off with the button on the machine. My family needs it to sleep at home and when we travel so we put one in the room for you. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen tv, mini-fridge, microwave, and 5-cup coffee maker. We leave you filter packs of regular coffee and packets of powdered cream and sugar for your early-morning caffeine fix. Depending on the day of the week, we have several breakfast/coffee options a quick walk away. Just across the street is The Saucy Southerner and Coastal Carolina Cafe. 2 blocks down is Cafe Koa, 3 blocks down is Port City Java, and around the corner from that is Southport Coffee Co and Kitchen. The mini-split, European-style HVAC is controlled via a remote control. Everything moves a little slower in Southport and it can take about 20 minutes to swap from heat to cool or vice versa. Our in-room scenting has a light fresh crisp ocean vibe, but can be turned off in the room with a remote if you aren't into that. We aren't entering rooms during guest stays unless you are staying for a week or more, but we are available via text message if you need anything and we will drop off fresh towels/coffee, etc in a bag outside your door for your convenience. What started as a Covid precaution has become a way to continue taking great care of our guests because, like the rest of the world, we have limited staffing. We have 4 complimentary beach cruiser-style bikes that you can use while you are here. They are first come, first served so they can't be reserved ahead of time. Text us when you are ready to take one for a spin, and we will send over the digital waiver for your signature and then your lock code. We will text you the day before arrival so you can fill out our digital registration form and upload your ID. I know Airbnb gets that from you, but because we are a small family owned and operated hotel, we need to verify your info also (people have started hacking Airbnb accounts and using them for travel). The number from which we text is the easiest way to get us while you are here. The number on Airbnb in my personal cell so if you get me, I might not be up to speed on what is going on if I'm not in that day. Please text us and whichever of us is working will be able to take care of you and it will keep me from sounding like an idiot because I don't know what is going on that day ;). Guest access Guests have access to their private hotel room and bathroom, the Inn at River Oaks courtyard with seating and yard games, and covered porches with swings and rocking chairs. Other things to note • Quiet hours must be observed after 10 PM to 8 AM per the City of Southport, we are in a downtown location and there is a golf cart repair shop in front of the Inn, they are closed Sunday and Monday but you might hear them working on things other days (they typically close by 5). • Guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. • Our rooms are cozy, this one is about 300 square feet. We are an updated 1950's one level motel - they made spaces smaller then. The bathrooms in rooms 10-16 are larger and my husband who has a football player style build’s preference. • Pest control comes monthly, but we are in a coastal region, we can not be held responsible for bugs that enter the room during your stay. • Guests will be charged for damages including a $200 fee for smoking, $400 for pets (we do have pet-friendly rooms but they must be booked directly with the property, we cannot accommodate animals of any kind in this room due to guest allergies, please contact the property directly for rooms where we can accommodate animals) and $600 for glitter, confetti or bodily fluids. • We communicate primarily through Text message when you are with us. While we are not entering rooms during your stay, we will text you to checkin and leave any needed items bagged outside for you.
