Fernando’s nature hideaway - XCountry Skiing

We have a 5 star overall rating on airbnb since 2014!! This beautiful lil cabin has access to a hot tub & a sauna! Nestled under a mountain & down a beautiful old farm road, Fernando’s Cabin comes complete with a babbling brook in the Spring, and a hammock with a view of Stratton through the trees! You will fall in love here! Come pick apples & gaze over at horses! We are minuets to Magic, Bromley, Stratton & Okemo! We have a beautiful brass bed and a full bathroom. New high speed WiFi finally ⚡️ The space We were honored to be one of Vermonts most popular Airbnb's! THANKS SO MUCH FOR CHECKING OUT BENT APPLE FARM!! WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE IT HERE…YOU ARE NOW PART OF THE FAMILY… The cabin has a real VT vibe… Wood, wood & more wood! It’s calming, and comfortable and very close to the mountain! The hot tub is literally 2O yards away and looks out on horses and Stratton mountain with the setting sun behind!! We have a lovely fire pit so you can do s’mores right after the hot tub! Just remember to bring marshmallows because the grocery store closes early!!! Kitchen: We have a hot plate set up so it’s not a full kitchen...We have you covered on dish ware but think of Fernandos as get up and make yourself an egg and toast kind of a place. This isn’t the cabin for Thanksgiving dinner! That said, I have seen people get very creative on a double hot plate! Centrally located within 10min to a BIG grocery store, awesome butcher shop, hardware store, and pharmacy. We are sandwiched between VT’s finest ski mountains so take your pick!! Fernando’s cabin is a hidden gem and is often described as being the most relaxing, romantic, and cozy cabin in the woods EVER!!! What could be better than falling asleep in the trees and waking up to birds singing around you or in winter to a pristine layer of fresh pow!! IT’S IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT and WHAT’S EXPECTED OF YOU… Cleanings: Our cleaning and linen fee is there to allow our cleaning lady to fully disinfect, clean, do laundry, fold linens and get the bathrooms and kitchen to sparkle. We charge just a bit more these years for all the changes we have experienced from Covid, property tax hikes and STR taxes. Hope you understand. Airbnb has an etiquette that is very different from hotels. YOU are expected to do A LOT and to return the cabin to how you found it. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: We have some rules you will be asked to sign on arrival. -Please, take care of this cabin as you would your own home -This is your space and your space only. Guest that are not in the reservation are are not allowed. The only people allowed to this listing are the ones you have added. -Do not ask to bring more guests than the ones allowed in the listing -Quiet time (no loud noises, no loud music and no outdoor conversations) starts at 10pm -Please READ all our detailed rules before Booking!!! Now that’s ALL out of the way…please DO enjoy this AWESOME cabin. IMPORTANT. If you are high maintenance skip this cabin. If you want total isolation also skip it. Our little cabin is not far off so you WILL see other folks and you will hear me out on the tractor mowing or clearing snow...You will for sure get an unsolicited visit from our black lab! Keep your voices down and let nature do the talking. We are in the farmhouse should you need us. We are not a 500 room hotel owned by a corporation, this listing is family owned. If there is anything you need help with or is something not to your like please contact me. PETS We love our animals at Bent Apple Farm, but we only allow dogs and we do charge a 150 dollar pet fee. -Dogs must be crate trained and can not come to the property without. -It is your responsibility to NEVER leave your pup unattended in the cabin even for trip to the grocery store. -Please brush and trim your pet’s nails before coming to our cabin to avoid damaging our natural wood floors. -If your dog is a chewer, this listing may not be a good fit for he/she. -We don’t allowed pets in furniture or bed. If you cuddle with your dog in bed every night, this may not be a good fit for you. -Be very cautious during hunting season to keep your pup close. -At night/dusk be sure your dog is with you as we have coyotes and hawks, owls and bears in VT. Thanks, B+L A bit more about Fernando’s… We are just off the back side of Magic Mountain! This is East Coasts best steep and deep skiing…Shhhhh that’s a secret! This perfect little escape speaks cozy! From the flannel sheets to the vintage furniture and the big brass bed. Wake up to a view of the woods, chirping birds, and a babbling brook:) Take a shower in the cutest bathroom in the world...With a perfect little window to the bedroom because…Why not;) Brew your morning coffee (bent apple brew) while you look out to the fresh snow! Double burner hot plate, fridge and a microwave should meet you basic cooking needs. This house is situated on a quiet dirt road with some of Vermonts most scenic farmhouses and views. Enjoy, dog sledding, cheese making, sleigh rides and local eateries from our friends all minutes away! The Village Grocery is located 10 min from the house for all your shopping needs. Viking nordic center is just a 4 min drive if ya like big groomed woodsy trails and a traditional old school vibe with a hot chocolate experience!!! Guest access Awesome nearby restaurants, and stunning walks along our farm road. Access to well mantained Xcountry skiing trails right outside your door all the way into the woods! Check out Peak Falls, Lowell Lake, Hamilton Falls, Gale Meadows, Hapgood pond for swimming and hiking! The mountains have a lot going on in summertime as well as winter!! Magic Mountain is practically out our back door. Bromley is about 15 min away as is Stratton. Our walking and Xcountry ski trails are beautiful and well maintained. You will find me (ben) out grooming the trails in the winter or mowing in the summer…So be sure to pack your Xcountry Skis or snowshoes!! Viking Nordic center is just a few min away for rentals or even more trails to check out!! Other things to note This i is a very chill and quiet place. If this is is not you, please find another listing. We want the house to be in perfect shape when you leave so our guests can experience it the way you did when you walked through the door. A 4x4 is suggested for snow and the muddy spring! We have plenty of parking and motorcycles are welcome! Ask Ben about his motorcycle food tours! WHAT TO BRING... -Bring extra towels for the hot tub and sauna! We have you covered for regular bathroom towels. -Pack warm! VT can get chilly even in the warm months when the sun goes down! -Pack a good pair of boots. -Keep in mind we clean out the kitchen of just about everything between guests so please bring spices and even cooking oils.
