Take a walk along seven-mile Dungeness Spit for views of the Sound. Drive up Hurricane Ridge for a close up look at the Olympic Mountains. Or, just across the strait, enjoy an afternoon of crumpets and tea in Victoria, B.C., Canada. Whale watching is also a major attraction, and several tours can be caught from nearby Port Townsend, only 15 miles away from the resort! You’ll be astonished by the range of choices. But you may just want to sit back on your deck, grill up some salmon and look out over the bay—you know, become one with the sea and the sky. Helpful Hints Having a car/vehicle is strongly recommended to enjoy Discovery Bay and its attractions, as there is limited public transportation available. If stairs are an issue please make sure to try to book a Special Needs (SN) unit. All other units are 3 story townhomes which contain a minimum of 24 stairs. If you intend on traveling on the Pt Townsend – Coupeville Ferry, reservations are recommended especially during weekends and summer months.
