The Afton Carriage House is located in a quiet residential area located on the main street of the south end of Afton. There is easy access to the river as it is just across the street. Historic down town is 3 blocks north. There are restaurants and shopping. Four miles South, up the hill to the Afton Alps (one of Vail's Properties ) for skiing and snow boarding. There is off street parking at the carriage house. There is street parking and parking lots for local restaurants and shops. Weather permitting, you can walk, bike, hike to different destinations in town. Hudson , Wi. is 5 miles away and there is a bike route that takes you there. You can stop and enjoy the river view in the spring , summer and fall, it is truly breath taking! You can jump in your car, travel 12 miles north to Historic City of Stillwater. You can spend a day walking around, visiting shops and restaurants. There are different celebrations, Art Fairs, Hot Air Affair, etc., in the spring, summer, fall and winter.
