Tipi in Hotchkiss

Our gorgeous tipi by the river is a quiet camping getaway at any time of year. Perfect for those looking for a rustic experience (BYO seasonal bedding and linens). The tipi is nestled in a cottonwood grove, <10 yards from the North Fork of the Gunnison River. Includes access to our heated shower house with running water and bathroom amenities (<5 min. walk, may be shared). Guests can explore our property, including the walking paths through the forest and along the river. Sleeps 2 comfortably. The space The brand new canvas tipi is built on a wooden platform with foam covering for comfort. There is a table and chairs inside for meals. For sleeping, there are two foldable single mattress pads (6-inches thick). This is a CAMPING listing, so bring your own towels, bedding, and pillows please. In winter months, serious camping gear is recommended. Fresh water jugs are included and additional fresh water is available at the shower house. Outside of the tipi are additional chairs along with a fire pit for fires (firewood included too). Guest access The tipi and surrounding area is for your private use. The shower house is about a 5 minute walk away and is sometimes shared with other guests on the property, depending on who is staying (we have a few additional camping spots nearby as well as our rustic yurt in the forest). Other things to note Sleeps 2 comfortably--though two adults with a child can make it work--ask us about options for additional guests, including tent spaces and our rustic yurt.
