Please note: We can only accept 6 adults plus 2 children. This is a pet free and smoke free cabin. Enjoy your stay at our cozy 3 bedroom 2 full bath cabin in South Lake Tahoe. The primary bedroom has a king size bed with its own private bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the last, usually left for the kids, has 4 twin beds. No one has to sleep in the living room or on a sofa! We have put in all new wood floors and carpet as well as repainted the entire inside. There are brand new appliances as well as a fully stocked kitchen. There is free WIFI, a large screen TV with a Roku. We are a pet-free property so you can feel comfortable if you are allergic. Guests are welcome to enjoy our gas BBQ. Our large backyard is it's own small forest, a perfect wonderland for scampering around and collecting pinecones. We are family friendly with an infant booster, a pack-n-play, plenty of games and books, and sleds in the winter and beach toys in the summer. We currently have three bicyles for our guests to use. Across the street is state owned woodland so you will never feel crowded. A quarter mile away is an entrance to miles and miles of hiking and biking trails. You can reach lakes, rivers, waterfalls and even the Pacifc Crest Trail is only a five hour hike away. There are hikes and rides for everyone. From the easy to the challenging. We are always happy to give opinions of what might be best for any group. Once the kids are in bed, enjoy the wood burning stove or have a steam in the sauna. These are of course enjoyable with kids as well. In the winter see if you are daring enough to attempt our 'snow bath' challenge where you have to make a snow angel before running into the hot steam. Guests will have access to the entire cabin plus our redwood sauna and wooded backyard. Our property management company is located locally in South Lake Tahoe and is available 24/hours a day. We also have a local cleaner and handyman for any unexpected issues. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and the street gets very little traffic. We allow a maximum of 8 guests but with no more than 6 adults. We want to be honest and it really does get crowded with more than 6 adults. The entire home, backyard, driveway, sauna and deck are yours and yours alone. Our Property Manager, Jamie, is available when needed. Quiet, peaceful, and safe. 2 cars can be parked in the driveway. There is no street parking in the winter. We know there is a lot here but we hope this makes you more comfortable, not less. We have a strict occupancy-specific policy: We can only accommodate 6 adults maximum. Combinations of adults/kids for 8 total accepted w/ 6 adults, max. We also do not rent to anyone under 25 unless accompanied by at least one guardian over 25 years of age. In the winter there can be a lot of snow. Please consider if you feel comfortable traveling in all weather conditions. We can't refund based on weather. There could be road closures, delays, unplowed streets or driveways. There could also be power or cell outages. Tahoe is a beautiful fun place in the winter but you have to expect and be able to handle the unexpected. Please also note that we don’t allow smoking or pets. This includes emotional support animals. This is not against the law as some people think, please see California’s ESA Law AB 468. We have a lot of guests with pet allergies and want to keep things safe and comfortable for them. Our property manager lives close by and often drives by to make sure guests are comfortable, things are okay, or just on her way home. If she sees smoking or pets, Airbnb will charge you an additional $500 deep cleaning fee. There are plenty of rentals that are bigger or allow pets so please don't try and sneak them in. We try to be honest and up-front and we hope you will be as well. Bears are common in the mountains. Please don't leave any food or garbage outside or in your car. Bears know how to open car doors. There is a $100 surcharge for single night stays. We are not a large conglomerate, we are just a family that loves Tahoe and want to share it with others as well as help pay the mortgage. We love our place, it is a home and we want you to feel that way as well.
