Treehouse in Oakland

A bohemian retreat, hand built forty-feet up on stilts in the redwoods of the Oakland hills. This magical loft-living space has all the whimsy and charm of a treehouse with the ease of access and modern conveniences of a contemporary home. Perfect for a weekend getaway, with miles of redwood trails out the front door, but only a 5 minute drive to Montclair and a 10 minute drive to Berkeley. Other things to note The loft setup means one bed is in the large loft space while the second bedroom is private with a door. Both bedrooms share a bathroom accessed through the loft space. 1.Be sure to enter the house down the stairs off the street to the left of the driveway and not down the back stairs behind my motorcycle. 2. Be careful on the stairs and entrance deck. They can get slippery in all of the rain. 3. The thermostat is set to drop to 65 during mid day and 70 at night. If you want to keep The heat up, the thermostat is to the right of the bathroom door and can just be set to 70 once the temp starts dropping. 4. Please feel free to have a fire in the fireplace but be sure to always set the fire in the far back of the fireplace and keep the fire screen in place at all times. Extra firewood is out the door in the dinning room and up the back steps in the shed. 5. If you have a laptop, you can plug into the projector. Cable is on the green trunk Behind the sofa. Remote for the projector is there as well. The bose speaker can be used as well. 6. Fire extinguishers are in the kitchen on the floor to the right of the sink as well as one downstairs under the stairs. 7. Garbage goes in the smaller brown bin 8. Recycling goes in the large grey bin 9. Organics (no plastics or anything that cannot decompose) go in the green bin. In the kitchen, there is an organics bin under the oven. Recycling is under the sink and the garbage is easily seen under the counter.
