B&B on Madison (the Murphy room)

Since 2010 we have been restoring and adding interesting touches to our home toward my lifelong dream of opening a B&B. We're now a charming two-story 1928 colonial with lots of nooks and crannies for you to explore. We serve a delicous complimentary breakfast in our sunny dining room, on the porch, or in your room. Located just outside Kansas City, MO., you're walking distance to one of the best (official) main street small towns, Lee's Summit. The space We offer three bedrooms. The one you are booking is the Murphy bed (single) bedroom. All of our rooms have flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, Blu-ray (we have some DVDs or bring your own). We have cuddly robes, cozy socks, and slippers (or bring your favorites with you) so you can leave the world with your shoes at the door. Because state and local regulations prohibit guests from using the kitchen, we converted a hall coat closet into a snack center with a retro Microwave and Refrigerator offering hot and cold beverages. Here you can help yourself to snacks, and at night enjoy the hot buttered popcorn. Guest access After a hard day of shopping in nearby boutiques, antique shops, relax on one of the two porches, each with a swing. (what is a B&B without a porch swing?) Enjoy tea in the living room or on the front porch. During your stay The large living room, welcoming and cozy, is the perfect place to interact with us or the other guests. Come warm yourself by the fire with tea or coffee. Other things to note Although we hope you have a sense of us and the house from the information contained here, we do offer more options. We may be able to open certain blocked dates or offer special rates for longer stays. We can also help you with dinner reservations, arrange for flowers from local shops, etc., to make this truly a special stay tailored to you and the occasion you're coming to celebrate.
