Monash Cottage - Pet Friendly Accommodation

Monash Cottage is a fully equipped cottage situated on 140 acres of pristine farmland. Guest can enjoy their own space, pet friendly with plenty of room for your pets to run around. The Cottage is in an elevated position providing uninterrupted views across the landscape. Enjoy leisurely strolls up to Red Rock with spectacular 360 degree views across the Otway Ranges and Corangamite Lake, the area also enjoys beautiful sunrises, sunsets and the clearest night sky. The space The cottage offers private accommodation for up to 5 persons, with separate living and dining areas, two bedrooms and separate bathroom and toilet. Private and secure with ample parking, shaded grounds and exceptional views of the landscape. Monash Cottage was built in the 1950's as a field station by Monash University, for scientists out in the field studying the flora and fauna of the volcanic lakes of Alvie. The cottage has been fully refurbished now offering all the creature comforts with fully equipped kitchen with all the basic condiments available so you can cook up a storm, very comfortable , an extremely peaceful and relaxing country escape. The Cottage is part of the historic Coragulac House estate built in 1873, a 30 room bluestone Mansion where you can walk the gardens and explore the grounds around the Homestead Guest access There is plenty of space around the cottage, ample parking close to paddocks with friendly farm animals to feed and admire. Plenty of space for furry friends to run around and wear themselves out, great walks where you can explore the area and take in the stunning views from Red Rock Scenic Lookout. Coragulac is centrally located being within an hour from The Great Ocean Road's best offerings, Port Fairy, Timboon, 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, Port Campbell, Apollo Bay, Torquay, Queenscliff, Geelong, Otway Fly, Redwood Forest, Lorne, Great Otway National Park, Ballarat and Sovereign Hill Other things to note Bedding is made up according to the number of guests booked, for two guests it is assumed the Queen bed is required unless otherwise specified. Towels are provided according to the number of guests booked, additional towels can be provided on request, additional charges may apply. Pets are welcome in Monash Cottage, however, we do expect that pets do not climb on furnishing or beds, you will be responsible for any damages. Guests are also responsible for providing all necessary items for their pet during your stay. Please note we charge $30.00 per pet per stay, with a maximum of two pets only.
