Description

Guests can stay up on the 2nd FL of a classic Chicago two flat. 3 bedrooms. NO CLEANING FEE. We hate hidden fees and that's the only one we have control over so we're getting rid of it for you! We've hosted for 10 years now and care deeply about our space and our guests. We do all of our own cleaning, and live below on the 1st floor. We're available to help with anything guests may need. In the spirit of why homesharing originally became popular a decade ago, let us welcome you to CHICAGO! The space Perched on the top level of a classic Chicago two flat is our tree top 2nd floor 3 bedroom apartment. Keyless locks for easy access. Queen size bed in the back bedroom, full size double in the front bedroom, and a twin (single) in the middle bedroom. Our tiny bedroom we call "the Chicago bedroom". It is actually a converted pantry space. The twin bed (which is very comfy with mattress and box spring) just fits into this cozy little space. There's a window in there to keep some fresh air flowing. It's a lovely space to stow away and get some reading or writing done. The front bedroom has a view of the tree tops and great sunlight. There’s a closet, bedside table and lamp, and the bed is full size. Back bedroom is the biggest of the three. Nice and quiet, tucked in the back of the house off of the kitchen. There’s a closet, a dresser, lamp, bedside table, and a newly upgraded queen size bed. Nice spacious living room with giant couch and tv with Netflix. Full bathroom with tub and shower. We provide shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, towels, hair dryer, cotton balls, and Qtips. This bathroom is our pride and joy as it was just remodeled in fall of 2019! Full kitchen with stove/oven, full size fridge, keurig coffee maker, toaster, ample cupboard space, and counter tops for food prep. Equipped with basic cookware. There's a sun porch on the back of the house that has a great view of the backyard which is also available for guest use. We also offer free laundry in basement (soap/dryer sheets provided). We offer guest parking permits for street parking if needed. Please let us know if you will require parking and we will explain how that works. It's easy, just a few extra steps. As an aside: we live here, too! We'll be doing our thing down below you on the first floor living our lives/working/building upkeep/all the good stuff. We're both musicians and do need to practice sometimes. We respect quiet hours of 10am-10pm as we expect our guests to do the same. If you have any questions or concerns about that, please reach out. Think classical violin and bass! So don't worry, not a drumset (no offense to drummers! haha) Guest access Access to free laundry- detergent provided, street parking with guest parking permits, backyard. Close to blueline cta trains and 3 different buses. 8 min walk to train. Lots of area bars and great restaurants in the neighborhood. Other things to note Parking: We offer street parking. This means we cannot guarantee you a spot, but we can say that, unless there’s street cleaning or a special event going on, it’s fairly easy to find parking on our block or close to the house. All parking is permitted and guest permits are provided at no additional charge. You can find them tucked in the guest book on the glass coffee table. Limit is 1 car per reservation unless otherwise discussed with host so please plan accordingly. Permits are good for 24 hours. You must write the new time and date on one every day and replace the old one to avoid a ticket. Stick them inside your windshield by peeling off the OUTER border and using that sticky portion to affix to inside of windshield. All of this being said, we love to encourage our guests to come without cars and use public transportation! We live extremely close to the blueline train which connects with O’Hare airport and will take you all the way downtown. If bringing a car is unavoidable, try to make plans to leave it on the street once it’s parked. Way less hassle! Always up to you, just our recommendations. Registration Details R19000040422
